  • API?

No there isn't. The regular web interface isn't even properly documented yet.

About all you can do is take a look at kiwiclient / kiwirecorder or the server source code.

  • Forum rules and etiquette

This is a private, non-public forum for discussing technical topics related to the genuine (original) KiwiSDR product. The forum monthly operating costs are funded out of the profits from selling KiwiSDRs.

We reserve the right to edit or remove your posts or to ban your participation. If you want to criticize our work that's fine. Just do it somewhere else please. We are all very busy and don't want to spend a lot of time managing chaos on the forum.

Every single submission is reviewed to meet our content standards. All applicable rules and laws from all the jurisdictions of forum participants are taken into consideration. However, we reject the notion of unadjudicated extraterritorial jurisdiction. You must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction. You may contact us at support@kiwisdr.com about any matter and we will respond promptly.

    • New participants: Take some time to understand the product, the community, the ecosystem and the limitations that have evolved since the product introduction in 2016. The project authors do not have the resources or capabilities you might think they do.
    • Don't ask support questions about non-genuine KiwiSDR devices. There are other support forums specifically for those devices. If you're not going to support us by buying our stuff you shouldn't be surprised when we don't reciprocate.
    • No "low effort" posts. Search the forum and website FAQ for an answer before asking your question. Yes, our documentation is dismal. But if you complain about a specific point we'll endeavor to document it (or fix the incorrect documentation).
    • Don't complain about well known, long-standing technical limitations such as: audio latency, lack of https/TLS, run-as-root, spotting efficiency of the WSPR extension etc. We know all about these issues and most have been discussed for many years. They are either difficult to solve, have no solution or are way down on the priority list.
    • Don't violate security "zero-day" rules. Don't report security vulnerabilities here or on X/Twitter. Send them to the support email instead.
    • Don't attempt to explain what you think "open source" means. Everyone is wrong about that. Including us. Best interpretation we've seen lately: "Free and Open Source Software" is "Free of Unilateral Control", not "Free of Charge" (i.e. "Free as in Freedom" NOT "Free as in Free Beer")

    Thank you.

  • Damage due to nearby lightning strike

  • TDOA possibly offline from 28 June 2021 [fixed]

Should be okay now. Someone made a weird Kiwi configuration which broke the TDoA script on kiwisdr.com. This has happened once before I believe.

  • Am i a KiwiSDR if i have no circuitry

Hello Brian. You are most certainly welcome here even if you're only a listener to the Kiwi network and don't own any Kiwi hardware. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Donations to individual public Kiwis are always appreciated by their owners. Most of them go to great lengths to site Kiwis in remote, electrically quiet, locations. Usually with expensive Internet connections that the donations help offset.
