Thanks, I see the donate button. I will have to do something like this. What do people think about installing the setup in a pump house for well ? It will be easier than installing cables in the attic, but I may end up going to the attic. Not sure yet. The Antenna will be the Bonito FX 10 Meter Loop.

  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/15969#Comment_15969 Thanks for the info John. I've alwas been amazed at how well I can pick up CRNR on the 31m band which transmits at 30KW, can't beat the sound of Analogue though. Even funk…
  • BBC DRM now on 15620 Khz 08:06 UTC, it's not listed on the Kiwi schedule. No decode despite nearly S7 signal, which is one reason I don't like about DRM.
  • Schedule update, I'm hearing WINB on 9805 Khz here in Ireland, UTC 07:30 - 08:00 am, I don't know what their schedule is on this frequency. According to the Kiwi schedule, they should be on 7380 Khz. Did anyone figure out what the other half of the…
  • Ok John, I don't want to be the cause of your early demise! :-) I guess the Kiwi has got so popular, it's probably a common request alright. I don't be on the forum every day or week, I don't remember the question pop up before. The main attraction…
  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/15915#Comment_15915 I'd like 20+ channels with waterfall +20Khz audio bandwidth, I believe the limiting factor is the beaglebone. It would be good if there was some way to do it, I guess no…
  • By the silence I take it this is a non runner ?
  • When DRM works and at decent bitrates it's not bad, I have been amazed at how well I can pick up CNR at just 30 Kw. Funklust is decent but it's the wrong band for Europe to be stable long enough. It would be better in the 49m band but this would req…
  • Lowering bitrates isn't really a good solution, as 8 Kbps sounds absolutely terrible and I can hardly listen to it. I'd rather an analogue station at S5 signal than that horrible digital noise because at 8 Kbps that's all you're left with after most…
  • RRI 7235 Khz perfect decode S35 signal. or 35 over 9. 20..96 Kbps is one of the better sounding DRM stations, I can actually listen to it, I can only imagine XHE-AAC at 20.96 Kbps.
  • Radio Romania International 5955 Khz no decode despite S20 signal and this seems to be common with RRI, big signal no decode ?
  • WINB 15755 Khz, no decode, Kiwi Schedual 15750 Khz Signal S6 S7 Audio AAC 8.28 Kbps, again shockingly low bitrate.
  • Kuwait on 15110, not started yet according to the Kiwi Schedule, obviously changed the time and as usual can't decode it what a waste. S20 signal here in Ireland.
  • KTWR on 12055 Khz Time 15:28 UTC, not sure the start and finish times. AAC 9.80 Kbps Sounds very bad, why such low bitrate, why can't they choose even 16 Kbps ? why always choose the worst possible quality. Analogue would sound so much better. Si…

  • It didn't stop for me on Android this morning after an hour now whether or not being connected via USB made a difference I don't know, perhaps if plugged into power makes the difference on Android, I will try it now while in work on battery and late…
  • Surprise surprise, this morning for the first time in a couple of months I fired up one of the USA Kiwi's while on my way to work, Audio through the car audio system and to my surprise it just kept going after I locked the screen. This was on my Po…
  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/15411#Comment_15411 Hopefully a solution will be found.
  • Yeah I wish we could get some developer to make an app for the kiwi. I like to listen before I go asleep but the xyl complains about the screen being too bright. I also like to listen in the car when driving to work but the screen has to be on all t…
  • I’m on iOS 16.2 on an iPad Air 2022 and have the same issue, This is really ridiculous that I have to have the browser open all the time and can’t do anything else. we really need an app for iOS and even android has some issues when the screen is o…
  • I can only imagine what the people that saw me walking around with a portable radio while recording on my phone would think, can't imagine what they'd say if they saw me going around whacking electric poles with a sledge lol. It's a tiny community w…
  • I have filed a complaint to COMREG in relation to the mad QRM I have between around 650 Khz and 10 Mhz particularly noticeable around 80m. Had to give them "evidence" and evidence it's not coming from my QTH so I went out on the road yest…
  • I used this one you recommended. https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/mlccs-multilayer-ceramic-capacitors/1220709
  • Not sure, all I hear and see on the waterfall is powerline noise which is quite mild now but it can be quite bad especially from around 9 Mhz and up. This 10 Kva power line runs over the bottom quarter of my garden. I must try get on to the regulat…
  • Finally got the parts, rough but hey it works ! there's a nice bit off attenuation on 252 Khz, roughly 10 dB reduction which is fine and it's now as strong as BBC Radio 4 which is sadly due to close I think next year as the BBC continue their assaul…
  • Thanks for the edits John, I sometimes mix up DMR and DRM, I use DMR sometimes on my Anytone and Openspot 3, as for mixing up ACC, well no excuse lol. Thanks for the update, I'll check it out. I am lucky to have 2 x Kiwi's do do it all for me :-)
  • Still waiting on parts, the joys of living on a small Island!
  • Parts ordered. Might have them by Wednesday. Had to order from Radionics due to capacitor supply issues at farnell so got different 33 uF inductor but same Q of 40.
  • Thanks Jim. Going to check it out now.
  • Have to say I really am struggling to find suitable capacitor and inductor combination on these sites. These are local suppliers, anything else has to come from over seas with probably long wait times. https://ie.rs-online.com/web/ https://ie.rs-on…
