  • @G8JNJ (Martin), What are your thoughts on these kinds of devices? https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/dxe-rpa-2 Cheers Sean
  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20162#Comment_20162 Example, a DRM signal is stronger on the kiwi with the loop than the 303 because it will decode using the loop and not the 303, whereas the 5mhz UTC signal came in better …
  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20141#Comment_20141 I think I will extend the pole somewhat over the Xmas break and see what effect that has.
  • One observation, is that the 303 and my Sangean ats909x2 play very nicely together. Whereas the 303 plugged into the kiwi there is a difference of several DB lower, where in the Sangean they are on par with each other when the loop is plugged in to …
  • I, too, noticed it has picked up more noise than the loop. There aren't any solar panels on nearby houses so dont expect to much PV controller interference, I do use a power line adaptor in the house, however that is on a separate circuit from the g…
  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20154#Comment_20154 Ah - yes, I am a member of that forum. I do struggle a bit with the groups.io format. However thats a me thing and need to spend more time on it.
  • Cool, thanks. I couldn't resolve the domain however I think that might be my firewall (or pi-hole) - ill check the logs. I tried resolving logdb.utdx.de outside my network, and got the answer I needed :-)
  • I've recently seen a number of these from Germany. "logdb.utdx.de" 199.175.220.92Wanderup, Germany7:16:31[1d:20:03:58 total] 199.175.223.53Wanderup, Germany8:24:49 199.175.221.24Wanderup, Germany11:39:13 199.175.223.255Wanderup, Germany7:0…
  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20141#Comment_20141 I've plugged in the 303 :-)
  • Is it possible to host a disk image somewhere that you can use Rufus / Balena Etcher to write to the SD Card with a working image?
  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20141#Comment_20141 Hi Martin, I'll plug the antenna back in tonight - daytime around here is terrible. I have the loop plugged in currently - keen to get a switch. http://21996.proxy.kiwisdr…
  • Additionally - the mount is a roof mount kit with adjustable stays. We own a WISP, so there are plenty of these lying around, not being used any more. How fortunate for me! I may extend the pole in the future, however for now, its working great.
  • So, some really un-scientific anecdotal evidence (listening and comparing RSSI / S-Meter levels on various stations, including UTC, 20Mtr HAM, various broadcast bands, its a tight race. The MLA 30 gives a few DB more signal, however I have the gain …
  • Mounted on the garage roof https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/702/AP7D6IF2Z692.jpeg https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/766/S0S3A36D8E4N.jpeg
  • Once I have it mounted, I will plug it into my Sangean ATS 909 and compare signals against the kiwi with the loop antenna.
  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20018#Comment_20018 Hi Loyd, How are you finding the switch? I might be in the market for one to switch between my mag loop and 303wa-2 (when it arrives) Cheers Sean p.s - thanks @jks for he…
  • Found this little gem https://learn.adafruit.com/measuring-temperature-with-a-beaglebone-black Apparently the CPU temps are inaccurate due to bugs in the silicon. https://forum.beagleboard.org/t/beaglebone-black-cpu-temperature/2183
  • awesome, thank you! https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20097#Comment_20097
  • To access your kiwi locally, just enter this in your browser: http://kiwisdr.local:8073/ admin console http://kiwisdr.local:8073/admin
  • It's also possible, depending on your ISP that they are using CGNAT, or might block reverse proxies on their network based on detection. For example, we are an ISP running a WISP network, and we dynamically block any Meris BOTNET traffic from withi…

  • https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20007#Comment_20007 Hi @jks Sorry if you took offence to this. I was merely sharing some tools to help anyone who needed to see and free up space based on the conversations above. Sheesh. 😟

  • Yeah, but a quick pin, say if you are following a few different things within a band, or your view that you can add with a right click to the labels or even on the frequency ribbon. In the below are three stations that I might switch between for a …
  • Hi Martin, yeah I use that too - I was thinking along the frequency ribbon like pins say.
  • Actually - looking at mine, the MMC is nearly full too. root@kiwisdr:~/Beagle_SDR_GPS# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on udev 214M 0 214M 0% /dev tmpfs 49M 1.3M 48M 3% /run /dev/mmcblk1p1 3.5G …
