Quite fascinating. All of that soviet stuff that's shrouded in secrecy makes this hobby all the more interesting!

Could you explain a little about what this is for the uneducated?
-
I see the issue, sorry for my reply and not fully understanding it. !

Well, I have a debian VM :-P connected to my RAAS-4a and I can change each position. It does however seem limited to 9600 Baud. I have reached out to Don from wa4mcmkits to see if 115200 baud is possible - and if there is a way to increase it from 9…

Not 100% sure I follow, as the middle +/- button is 1KHz step, and just press and hold rather than click. https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/703/92J9HXREYV0L.png

I use it quite frequently too.
-
LOL - thanks, the one and only button I didnt press.
-
I wonder if I can wrangle some sponsored bandwidth. @jks do you happen to know roughly how much data they were using?
-
Many thanks for that. :-)

Also looking at that, A+B Loop would be pins 1,2,3,4 and 6 tied together - although just 1 and 6 should do the same?
-
https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20740#Comment_20740 @G8JNJ - Martin could you review this switch config for the pins 1->6 on the connector? I "think" have it right. I've been staring at it for a while now, and …

Well I don’t live far from our local industrial area and there are plenty of hvac companies there. Ask and thou shall receive https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/651/EALYHJZ3UD8W.png BEHOLD! https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/423/OIF1M1LWDQHO.png http…

I think I have spent enough on kit recently. I would be a dead man walking if I bought another Kiwi - and hate to think what my life would be like if I got two more!

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20804#Comment_20804 What ever is either doing the routing and / or proxying should be logging the header information on what the traffic is. It would look quite obvious what the malicious tra…

thanks! Ill get the script working on a VM first before launching it on my kiwi.

Looks like the driver is installed. root@kiwisdr:~/KiwiSDR# lsmod | grep cp210x cp210x 32768 0 usbserial 45056 1 cp210x

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20793#Comment_20793 Might spin up a Debian VM and test before unleashing onto the kiwi. #!/usr/bin/env bash N_CH=4 VERSION=1.2 # Auto-detect CP2102N serial device; fallback to /dev/ttyUSB0 …

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20793#Comment_20793 Thanks for that. I have been looking at the manual. I might have to see what I can come up with. (with a sprinkle of some chatgpt) writing code isnt really my thing.
-
Does anyone have any Debian drivers and a script to operate the RAAS-4 - its operated off USB and uses a CP2102N USB to UART controller.
-
That's a fairly elegant solution rather than a captcha, and it's in keeping with the current way to log into a Kiwi, and I thought it was just a new feature / UX upgrade! lol.... :-)

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20772#Comment_20772 Well, its quite interesting that just moving the antenna a few feet, seems to increase the SNR by several dB. I really only put it on the garage roof to get it out of the …
-
Well, this works better. I suspect the roof had a part to play in the loss of a lot of signal? https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/720/X1Y34YF9RALI.jpeg

It actually doesnt seem to perform very well up there. It actually worked better sitting just above the fence line. Hmmmm

Not sure how popular I have made myself. https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/882/NYQ2ASWX1TDX.jpeg https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/076/CU9J55B6DMPU.jpeg I might shorten the pole as its in two sections. we will see...........

There are over 70 HTTP headers that can be used for IP spoofing!

Found one in the public Kiwi list here

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20753#Comment_20753 Not to sure you are welcome to look at mine. You might find asking in the Loop Antennas group over at https://groups.io/g/loopantennas

Ah - I realise what that noise is - florescent lights in my garage! Man they are noisy - I haven't seen it like that before though.
-
Well had everything running nicely, and then this evening this mess appeared. Switched back to my Apex Radio Antenna, and its the same result - sigh. https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/963/PQ67MTL6RVYS.png

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20746#Comment_20746 So I made this today. Some PVC for the main body, and 16mm copper, used in HVAC, so it's quite soft. I've made it as round and as level as I could. https://forum.kiwisdr…
