                I have also managed to get rid of a lot of the noise spurs too with that being most of the signals around 22mtrs and above.

                Ok, I have all the jumpers set correctly. I'm not overly happy with the loop. I think I might make a bigger one! On the plus side, the noise floor is much lower than my Apex Radio. Once I get the antenna switch installed, I can do a side by side co…

                https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20740#Comment_20740 Yeah then the next line says: "Connect J6 on amp. board. Insert jumpers J5 and J6 on the control board. Measure the DC voltage between CP8 and CP11 and make sure it …

                https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20722#Comment_20722 Thanks for that. I’ve swapped out my linear power supplies with some low noise smps (Apple ones) to make sure my diy power wasn’t the issue. Didn’t make any change. Have …

                I have Fibre and a network like [Garage] | [KSDR] | [Switch]------[Mac Mini] | +--(60GHz Bridge)-->[Meraki Switch]--[Meraki Firewall]--[Fibre Internet] | [WAP] …

                Well this arrived today https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/767/KSQVUYAMPNEI.png Looks like my long weekend will be soldering this kit! :-)

                I'm almost certain it's coming in off the antenna. My router (firewall) is on a different part of the property, however I do have a decent amount of computer equipment around. That said, my proxmox cluster, NAS and Plex server are in a cabinet, that…

                Is it a remote device or are you also connected local?

                Ah this is why I posted here - thanks, Martin! :-)

                https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20636#Comment_20636 Would a cron job handle this to check for updated lists? Perhaps staggered so not all Kiwis hammer the site at once.

                Hahaha, yeah that’s the catch, however it is overkill but it has a lot of features. Maybe one day I’ll get a Ham licence and it will come in handy

                Oh he makes a 4 pole version too

                I stumbled across this today https://wa4mcmkits.com/ its mostly for hams however it should work fine for the kiwi. there is a a pic microcontroller on it with an optional USB port for connecting to your PC so I don’t see any reason for it not to wo…

                I dont think anyone here in NZ uses the 630mtr band, however typical MW broadcasts are insanely powerful, and find the Kiwi filter attenuates rather than just cuts them out, meaning you can still DX MW without overloading your SDR when using an LNA,…

                https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20587#Comment_20587 thanks for that. I suspect this is the path I may go down.......... maybe a gap in the market here? :-)

                https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/20585#Comment_20585 yeah - my aim is to try any make it look less hacky as few cables as possible (which is not really in the spirit of this hobby)

                If using a relay board, I assume you simply strip the coax and connect to the appropriate terminals? Or building a breakout box with the relevant connectors on it would be more suitable? It would appear Snaptekk devices are no longer being made.

                Cat5e and Cat6e by their wiring standards are low noise. The wiring standards, such as TIA/EIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801, provide guidelines on electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency (RF) noise emissions for Cat5e and Cat6 cables Any goo…
