sdr.hu registration [using a pseudo-callsign for sdr.hu registration]

edited May 2017 in Problems Now Fixed
It seems that you have to have a ham callsign (which means passing the exam, and paying for it) to register a receiver at sdr.hu.  Am I missing something stupid or do they just want to exclude non-hams ?

  • We recently added instructions about how to make up a "pseudo" callsign: http://kiwisdr.com/quickstart/index.html#id-sdr_hu

  • Many thanks.  That worked great for me with a 6 digit square, couldn't get it to work with just four digits.
  • Not sure why it failed with just four. I think the intent behind this is as an anti-spam-registration measure. So that probably means the field undergoes some sort of "plausible callsign" testing. We'd have to ask Andras..
