More than one S-Meter instance?
I'm not sure if this is actually an issue or just local to this network.
Lan "User 1" starts S-Meter on 7MHz
Remote "User 2" connects and starts S-Meter on 15MHz
User 1 sees a change in signal level but then display freezes, S-Meter still runs and the "Stats" show the other active user.
Hit refresh and the other user leaves (kicked?).
