60 Meters interesting utility signal?

edited July 2018 in Signals Received
Not spotted this before, centred around 5.412 MHz.

The audio clip is here, with a CW ident I think.

It later turned into a FSK signal, same freq no pause.

The TDoA showed an interesting thing...

Any suggestions..

Dave

Sounds like the marine SITOR station channel markers, e.g. TAH:

  • Hi Dave,

It's a fairly popular frequency, particularly with the Russians, and it could be that you are hearing (and trying to TDoA) a mix of transmissions emanating from more than one source at the same time.

I'd suggest you join the utility monitors on UDXF@groups.io and take a look at the monthly logs in their files section.

  • Forgot to add.

This was previously mentioned in the TDoA success thread.

I found a FSK signal with 500Hz shift on 12183KHz USB which I think comes from Istra near Moscow 55.884167, 36.953611

So this is pretty close to your TDoA plot too.
