  • UI: Mouse scroll wheel

    v1.694 July 20, 2024

Mouse wheel tuning: (thanks PSO, G8JNJ, et al)

The mouse wheel can now tune the frequency as well as adjusting the zoom.

The right-click menu has a new entry controlling whether tune or zoom is the default.

This setting is remembered in browser storage for the next time this Kiwi is visited.

Depressing the wheel button while moving the wheel will temporarily select the opposite

action, e.g. zooming if the wheel is set for tuning. This also applies to laptop trackpads

that been configured for mouse wheel emulation, e.g. two finger up/down swipe.

  • Random overnight restarts/reboots? [probably changes to DX label community database]

That sounds like a power supply issue, I've never seen unexpected reboots.

Maybe you can see using journalctl whether it was a clean shutdown, in that case there would be something like this:

Dec 15 11:27:44 kiwi systemd[1]: Reached target Shutdown.
Dec 15 11:27:44 kiwi systemd[1]: Reached target Final Step.
    Dec 15 11:27:44 kiwi systemd[1]: systemd-reboot.service: Succeeded.
    Dec 15 11:27:44 kiwi systemd[1]: Finished Reboot.
Dec 15 11:27:44 kiwi systemd[1]: Reached target Reboot.
    Dec 15 11:27:44 kiwi systemd[1]: Shutting down.

  • output voltage from the RF input on KiwiSDR2??

Another possibility would be that the kiwi's power supply has a Class-Y capacitor that leaks common-mode voltage to the DC side, which is then coupled trough the loop to ground.

In that case you could measure an AC voltage between the Kiwi GND and PE.

  • Dozens of CW transmissions?

They do look like pileups, I think there are some dxpeditions. C21MM and PX0FF.

  • KIWI does not power on

You could check the other voltages:
