I have configured several Kiwis for wifi access by attaching an inexpensive router configured as a Wifi client to the ethernet port of the Kiwi. This $25 TP Link has worked well for me:

In principle one could enable the internal BB Wifi or attach a USB wifi adapter, but I am reluctant to fiddle with the Kiwi's OS.

The spectrum display is much more useful in measuring RFI than the waterfall

Hi Martin, Your test page is the best discussion of receive site power supply issues I have ever found. Could you post it somewhere that I could refer to on my wsprdaemon.org site? As you have shown and Glen N6GN has taught me, many receive site R…

Nevermind. sudo apt install libsamplerate0 solved my problem. Hopefully this thread will help others.

Thanks! FYI, we have verified that 'continuous' is the best setting for WSPR decoding

Yes, adding the type field to the search would have helped me.

Thanks John. Before I posted here I removed the one mask which I had found at the end of the list, but evidently I created more of them. How did you find those other masked labels? I tried a search which showed nothing.

I received no irate letters when KPH went off line for 16 months during the peak of Covid.

It seems that the USB IP feature where the Kiwi appears on a Pi to be at 192.168.7.2 is not present on Kiwis running Debian 10. Is that a configurable option on Debian 10 Kiwis?

Hi Willem, You would get more spots if you were to run wsprdaemon rather than the Kiwi's internal auto WSPR. See wsprdaemon.org if you are interested. 73 Rob

Check the setting of your Admin->Control->Number of simultaneous channels available for connection by non-Kiwi apps

Thanks you. I will work with it in the morning.

I have just emailed remote access instructions to you at support@kiwisdr.com

I did try adding both --wf and --wf-png in both orders before posting, but doing that causes a python error: pi@AI6VN-DemoRx-Pi4:~/wsprdaemon/kiwiclient/wf-test $ python3 -u /home/pi/wsprdaemon/kiwiclient/kiwirecorder.py --wf --wf-png --server-host=…

Running 1.590 with 66.6600 Mhz external clock, on RX1 I see perfect (no movement) of IQ display of 16.665000 Mhz signal derived from the same clock. Running to 25.0000 Mhz output from a second Bodnar I see very, very small movements of the point on …

My next test is of the IQ wav files but as I explained in another thread, I need some insight into the format of those files. My goal is to make an hour long IQ recording of 25 MHz WWV from Glenn's Bodnar fed Kiwi which is line of sight to WWV and …

Thank you for working on this. I am enhancing WD to record IQ files and need that level of IQ accuracy in order to calibrate my system.

A second dual-output Bodnar arrived today, so I have been able to make further tests. Since Glenn's N6GN/K2 Kiwi shows very, very little IQ drift when tuned to the line of sight signal from 25 MHz WWV, I have duplicated that test in my lab using 2 B…

While the Debian 8 image installs on the BBG, it was unable to upgrade the Kiwi SW to the current Version 1.588. In contrast, the Debian 10 download installed and upgraded to 1.588 with no problems. Just be aware that after loading from the microSD…

Given the 48 bit NCOs and the phase lock which one would expect from this Bodnar diagram, it seems we don't have an explanation for the drift reported by the IQ display https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/615/ATTRLFN9E5ZF.png

Would it help you to have remote access to my test setup?

The console implementation is excellent, but 'nano sshd_config' looks like this: https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/415/HTLYX6M6OY1S.png

Following your QuickStart microSD installation instructions worked perfectly for me once I found the one 4GB BBG-compatible microSD. Enabling remote root access was a little challenge, since the vi editor seems incompatible with the Admin->Consol…

I successfully installed your Debian 10 image and it upgraded to V 1.588 without problems. So I would recommend that you amend the installation instructions to remove the Debian 8 build from the Quickstart document My only remaining problem is that…

Failure to load was solved by using a 4 GB no-name microSD rather than any of the 16-32 GB Samsung EVOs. I suspect the BBG can't read large microSDs. Now I'm fighting to upgrade the V1.390 SW on microSD to a current version, since I see a compilati…

I have been unable to install a new Debina 8 image on either of two BBG. Soon after power all four LEDs flash on after which the LED nearest the corner repeatedly brightly double flashes, which the LED next to it is constantly dimly lit. I have trie…

wsprdaemon users may not be aware that WD logs a count of new overload events which occur in each 2 minute WSPR cycle. Execute the command "wd-overloads" from the terminal command line to get a dump of those log lines and then filter the …

Many of the wsprdaemon sites are starting to suffer from overloads, so I will definitely add support for an attenuator if the Kiwi status page would report the max ADC values since the last read of the status page

I think John is spot on. In my experience,. once Debian/Ubuntu distros self-assign an IIP address to an interface, they never run DHCP to try to get a different address. Even cycling its interface from the ethernet switch doesn't seem to stimulate…

Frank's Kiwi is at address 192.168.1.154 but it requires admin access from a browser at 192.168.1.221. So it appears the Kiwi thinks it admin LAN is not in 192.168.1.0/24. Similarly, I can't ssh to his kiwi because no password is set and I don't kn…
