  • On the admin page, extensions tab, WSPR sub-tab, turn on the "Log spot debug info" option. A message in the log may give you a clue why wsprnet.org is not uploading your spots.
  • Ah, okay, I see what the issue is. I need to be disabling the admin RF attn slider for Kiwi-1. Thanks for pointing this out.
  • On a Kiwi-1? That I would like to see. Is this Kiwi accessible from the Internet?
  • On a Kiwi-1? That I would like to see..
  • Yes, the overlapping bars are not the problem (as long as the color blending doesn't look too bad). It's just the text collision (overlapping) as you zoom in.
  • I tried a couple of times to fix the problem: The text from overlapping band bars can collide as you zoom in certain situations. Overlapping bars is not really a problem. It's just the text conflict. I couldn't come up with a good algorithm to fit i…
  • Orders through #1497 were shipped yesterday. Not too many left before we're done shipping build #3.
  • Okay, so to use your custom device you are just using the standard Snaptekk script. I somehow had the impression you were using a modified one based on the Snaptekk script that would require the changes I am making now. I hope to have a Kiwi release…
  • ML&S and WiMo will only be selling the complete units. We're not sure when the 4th build might happen (the next opportunity for you to get the cape-only product). As usual there are some parts availability issues to be worked out.
  • You did not respond to my question, if the IP address entry on the admin/extensions/antennaswitch-tab is meant to be used for changing the IP address the Kiwi expects to connect to the switch. It seems to me that any entry on this field is not getti…
  • So you have your own custom backend script derived from the snaptekk switch script? It looks like the integrated snaptekk script has a typo. So check if this typo carried over to your script or not:     echo "SNAPTEKK_URL=\"$url\"&quo…
  • @DF3LZ Roland, if you can open the ssh port (22) through your router so I can connect to your Kiwi-1 Beagle/Linux then I can probably fix it. Happy to do that. But it requires that you connect to your router and create a port 22 mapping from the In…
  • So this was a very interesting and important problem that is now understood (and fixed in the next release). I did not realize this, but the curl timing defaults used by the git command cause a timeout failure if you have a slow Internet connection.…
  • Orders through and including #1455 were shipped (assigned tracking at least) on Thu April 18 (Wed April 17 in Europe/NA). We're spending a few days now shipping units to distributors. Back to shipping customer units early next week. Compared to the …
  • I can't follow this conversation. Too much missing and conflicting information. And I'm drowning in other more important problems. This is what you must do before we even talk about sending it back: Take the short SMA-M to SMA-M cable that came with…

  • Okay, fixed. Will be in the next release. Thanks guys.
  • Which antenna switch backend? GPIO?
  • Trying to upload photos to the forum that are too large will give error 400. To check the Kiwi frontend use the self-test cable that was supplied with the unit and follow the procedure here: http://kiwisdr.com/quickstart/index.html#id-self-test
  • Hey, thanks for the bug report. I'll make sure that gets fixed. Unfortunately I had to rewrite a lot of the code that depended on the extension framework. And this has led to all sort of problems.
  • We have shipped hundreds now to ML&S (UK) hamradio.co.uk and WiMo (DE) wimo.com. So consider ordering from them. Check if they will ship to your region and the cost.
  • I would have to add an admin setting to change the frequency step size. Right now there are multiple defaults used that are band and mode dependent. Auto repeat when holding down the step buttons is a possibility. I fairly recently added a general &…
  • Those "Xnn UNKNOWN" are very old debugging messages (from v1.484) that were in the GPS code. Is this Kiwi accessible from the Internet? If so, could you email the admin password to support@kiwisdr.com please (set a temporary password if yo…
  • Aw hell, typo. Sorry. Instead of: cp unix_env/kiwi.config/dist.kiwi.json ../kiwi.config Try the above commands with: cp unix_env/kiwi.config/dist.kiwi.json ../kiwi.config/kiwi.json
  • No, you don't run /usr/local/bin/kiwid -use_spidev 1 -bg -v 1.671 yourself. That's bad. That string describes the output from the ps command that you're looking for (which I don't see). So try this please: cdp mst cp unix_env/kiwi.config/dist.kiwi.j…
  • Ugh. So either your configuration was trashed, or you just trashed it by running the server in an unapproved way. Try: cdp mst cp unix_env/kiwi.config/dist.kiwi.json ../kiwi.config msa Then wait maybe 30 seconds and see if it comes up.
  • How long did you wait after the ku finished? Try again after one minute. Also, do a ps lax | gr kiwid and see if the following is contained in the ps output: /usr/local/bin/kiwid -use_spidev 1 -bg -v 1.671
  • I hadn't looked at the rx.linkfanel.net/snr site in a long time until now. I didn't realize he shows "internal and "external" values. I agree that the "internal" ones look like the ones from the Kiwi /snr URL.
  • There are some further security restrictions you can place on access to the admin interface: http://kiwisdr.com/quickstart/index.html#id-opt-dot
  • Okay. Your git clone is trashed. Need a different procedure. I should probably write a script for this. But try this sequence of commands please: cd rm -rf Beagle_SDR_GPS gclone Beagle_SDR_GPS cdp m (will take a while) mi ku
  • I'm having to repeat myself yet again: The Kiwi's SNR measurement code ignores masked band segments. They do not skew the result. rx.linkfanel.net connects to each Kiwi and does his own SNR measurement using an algorithm I don't know anything about.…
