@jks when i ping an IP with no route, i also get no error until i press ctrl-c. But it's weird, 192.168.8.0/24 would be the BBG/BBB default network for SoftAp. Where does that come from? That doesn't make sense. Since the kiwi it's new, it's probabl…

On the BBB I had to hold the boot-button during power on to boot from the card. With the BBG that was not necessary.

You can also use the incognito mode on chrome (Ctrl-Shift-N) or private mode on firefox (Ctrl-Shift-P) to visit a site with default settings.
-
The second kiwi will need its own (external) port, for example 8074. I'm surprised that the router would let you assign two devices to one port.
-
That will be the load of the CPU, User, System and Idle

Can you tell a bit about your environment? Can you place an antenna far away from buildings, or are in an apartment of a 20 story building, etc.?
-
@Yogicat It worked fine for me with dd.

The coordinates in "Public" should be used for the receiver map, via the /status page, correct?
-
There is also a location field with coordinates, have you tried changing that? https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/791/QT55B4C6PYYR.png

@jks The linked image (http://kiwisdr.com/files/KiwiSDR_v1.661_BBG_BBB_Debian_11.8.img.xz) seems to be the a beaglebone debian 12.2 image without kiwi software

Thanks for the update, greatly appreciated. Early January you mentioned that you were planning to update all platforms to Debian 12, is that still valid?

It worked for me without using ethernet. After adding the line to main.conf, I reloaded the configuration with: service connman force-reload The wifi will interrupt for a few seconds, and when it's connected again, the modified config file will be u…

I had a finding when using the kiwi with wifi that might be useful to others. I have noticed that at irregular intervals the latency to the kiwi briefly increases to a few 100ms up to 1 sec. The background scanning was to blame. Connman scans for ot…

If you search for "GPS timing antenna" on ebay, you can often find used high quality antennas from cell towers, for example GPS-TMG-HR-40N. They last an eternity even in harsh environment, but are a bit more expensive.
-
Ah, that's convenient. Thanks.

I get suspicious connections several times a day from IP ranges which are direct allocations which belong to a "The Constant Company, LLC". They log in with a username of generic two letter words with a dot in between (i.e. Kaily.Trnuer, T…

I'm thinking about getting a BBAI-64. Can they be cooled entirely passively if they are not in an enclosure? And what are the available Channel/WF configurations, are there also full WF channels in the 14 channel configuration?

I have a question regarding TDoA operation. When I'm on a kiwi and select two other kiwis to do TDoA, is the kiwi to which i'm connected to automatically used in the calculation? Or would i have to add it too to the list (so essentially requiring 2 …

@G8JNJ It appears to be happening on all carriers below ~1 MHz (Just as the longer periodic attenuation variation), the lower the frequency and the stronger the signal, the better audible. Towards 1 MHz it isn't audible anymore but visible in the a…

I have also intermittently black waterfall and audio drop outs on a full WF channel. 8 channel config, with 3 waterfall users. The drop outs appears to happen less often and shorter, if i close the AF waterfall user. Another thing: I think that the …

Paypal would also be my preferred method. But it's possible to use paypal via google pay. (Edit: Apparently that doesn't work here) Bank transfer would also be good.

Excellent, thank you.

If you run it in a loop like this, it is making about 1 connection per second, using up about 1.5 MB per minute: while true; do ~/git/kiwiclient/kiwirecorder.py -q -s kiwihost -f 28 -m USB --S-meter 1; done The settings (modulation/bandwidth) don't …

That would be about 13000 per day, so maybe 20000 in total before it runs out of memory I'll try to write a script to see if I can trigger it faster tomorrow. But I can see now that the memory usage is steadily increasing. No hurry.

100.71.x.x is CGNAT, you can only access hosts behind that via reverse proxy. I rented a vServer with a public IP address for that purpose.

Thank you!

Glad it's not just me, thanks for checking.
