WILCO. I also included a note that when I turned off the FT8 and WSPR extensions (I monitor each on 20, 15 and 10 m) SNR measurement problem across the ham/BCB bands disappeared. I offered a possible workaround for the old v. 1 KiwiSDRs that may be…

I have only been using the new SNR measuring for a few hours, but I spotted a possible problem in the SNR data. For some reason, after the initial SNR measurement (I asked for the ham and BCB bands to be included at 10-minute intervals), subsequent …

Great and thanks, John! The KiwiSDR can do some really serious radio science with those features, I am using the 1-hour SNR and dBm measurements to get a rough picture of what the current CME events have been doing to the HF spectrum overall, combin…

Not what I want. I'd rather not use a sledgehammer to solve this "problem". But I can't see how to program the crontab file to measure SNR at 1, 2, 5 or 10-minute increments. The JSON file telemetry is what I need and I want it quick, easy…

Yes, I know, and if that works for you, great! But it doesn't work for me in the gathering of telemetry. The SNR data provided is very useful but it is too coarse at 60-minute increments for many events that affect the ionosphere and propagation. I …

I'd rather learn ancient Greek! Just want a simple easy way from a drop-down menu without requiring Kantian (Linux) priori knowledge. Everything on discussion list might as well be in ancient Greek to me! I can't understand a word of it!! 😉

Thank you, sir. I wasn't quite sure, but the log file seemed to confirm it because of the "error" message given. 73.

I don't do social media proper, but you can add me to the list of those who would buy the new and improved KiwiSDR-2 whenever it becomes available. 73, and Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the suggestions. The band was shutdown by that G2 geomagnetic storm on Sunday and it's recovered. I see that my FT857D and WJST-X have decoded and spotted six 22 m WSPR signals while the KiwiSDR WSPR autorun extension has decoded and spot…

Update to the new v1.552 and nothing received by 22m WSPR autorun extension on my KiwiSDR. I'm using a 5-port antenna coupler and my FT857D + WSJT-X is decoding and spotting 22 m WSPR signals as "ROMSWL" but so far, the Kiwi 22m WSPR autor…

Well at least K3KQ and his Kiwi, which seems to work fine and mine doesn't! It does take me three or four reboots to get it to log onto my LAN (ethernet cable connected). So it's always been "finicky".

Okay. I setup my FT857D and WJST-X as "VA3ROM" to monitor 22 m and lo and behold received and spotted these WSPR signals to the WSPRnet: 1654 -29 2.0 13.555315 0 W8AC EN91 7 1006 1658 -30 2.2 13.555315 0 W8AC EN91 7 1006 1708 -24 1.3 13.55…

I'm using my KiwiSDR and WSPR extension to receive WSPR signals (40, 30, 22, 20, 15, 10 m) as "VA3ROM". My "1X3ROM" remote telemetry-over-WSPR transmitter is only used on 22 m because Canadian Amateurs can't transmit out of band…

I think the problem is that WSPR is, in fact, an FSK mode and FSK modes are always specified by their centre carrier +/- x Hz. But SSB AFSK use of FSK modes screwed that since you can use different audio tones added to the side band carrier to creat…

Sorry, but I didn't know that you had "fixed" it because you never asked me for permission to do so in the first place. That would have been the correct and polite thing to do, IMHO. Anyway, it was offline when I came home, and not worki…

Nothing is fixed at my end. I still can't upgraded to latest version. I just came home and my KiwiSDR was totally bricked and was offline and I to reinstall the old 1.289 backup that I had top get it back on line. Should have make a later backup I g…
