Anyone else seeing this problem? I would sure like to understand what's going on. Thank you
-
Okay. I admit that it's not an optimal solution. The entire "overlapping bands" problem could be better addressed. It's been on the todo list for a long, long time.
-
Your first post said "two different adaptors" but your original order was for only one protection device. Did you mean you tried the one protection device on two different Kiwi? This is important because we're trying to figure out if this …
-
No, we'll ship you replacements for free.
-
Okay, so dead short essentially. I have another person who may be in the same situation unfortunately. I didn't handle the design, manufacturing or shipping of these devices. If I find out they haven't been doing 100% factory test on these, like I h…

Could you do an experiment for me please? Zoom in on a local AM band station that has a strong, steady carrier. Use the "spectrum" button on the user control panel, or 's' key, to see the spectrum display. On the "WF" tab use the…

Thanks very much for pointing this out. I think I have a fix working and it will be in the next release.
-
Actually, it does work for me. I had the antenna switch in debug mode. Make sure both antenna switch and attenuator have their permission menus set to "local connections or user password only". Then restart the server. For the attenuator t…

I'm having trouble too. Checking..
-
Okay, let me check that. Entirely believable that something like that would have broken.
-
Okay, I fixed this. Wasn't too bad. Will be in the next release. Will allow any future internal extensions that use the waterfall to work also (currently our WSPR and FT8 internal extensions only use the audio stream).
-
Yes, a bug. SNR measurement should ignore the "no waterfall" setting since it doesn't consume any Internet bandwidth which is what the no waterfall setting is intending to save.
-
If it's really only two characters it might be that operating at 9600 baud will be okay. You'd just have to try it and see what happens as far as any realtime impact.
-
I'm still not seeing it. It would be helpful if you could open the browser Javascript console and click the local blacklist save button. I'd like to see any error codes the console will show. Attached is an example of how it should look. The keyboar…

Since you mentioned the admin page in your recent post I have an answer for you. You can't really do much for a Kiwi you don't have admin privileges for. One thing you can do is change the ITU region setting on the admin config tab. This affects sev…

I don't see this when the local blacklist is blank, i.e. only the downloaded blacklist is being checked. Is it possible you have an error in your local blacklist? What exactly are the error messages?

"Slow Dev". That setting is there because years ago, on some slower mobile devices, browsers got bogged down drawing the rainbow spectrum. Then later some people (Martin, lol) said they liked having the the mono-color option. So I left it …

Their email didn't elaborate.

I checked the code, and I had added something. But in looking at it I see what I did wasn't quite right. So I have something now that I think will work. Will be in the next release..

Heard back from the Rotorua ARC. The high cost of the cell-data connection to their remote site forced them to shut down. They are looking for an alternate site.
-
Looks like they last registered publicly April 21. I sent an email to the listed op at the Rotorua ARC. Let's see what happens..

I have the web server log and that's all I need. tcpdump when anything more specific required. I'm not going to continue talking about this since we don't know who's reading the forum.
-
I have no way of knowing. How could I? However the traffic pattern makes me think it is malicious. Already it has stopped. Which tends to indicate there is a human actively monitoring it. It also means they will probably try something else. But that…

By the way, if I set lock time in scan command line (,scan:1,log_time:4), why must I click again log option in the left field below? In addition to setting the logging interval with log_time:N you also need to set a record menu option that includes …

Not following this in detail because I'm so busy. But try and run this at 115k baud at least to avoid impacting the Kiwi realtime performance (i.e. causing the audio to break). That was my experience when I added the CAT output option that also used…

I replied to your email. Did you not receive it?

There was a discussion about this recently over on the wsprdaemon forum: groups.io/g/wsprdaemon/topic/vlsl_telecom_network/112581272?dir=asc I've told this story before but will repeat it in case anyone has self-interference problems. Before my apar…

Was there ever a resolution to this?
-
Yes, there is no support for wlan0 in the Kiwi software.
