Yes, for "other" Kiwis (any that you don't have administrative access to) there is nothing you can do to fix this problem except to use a browser other than Firefox version 103. Use Chrome or something and you'll be fine. Until the Kiwi ow…

There is a change in v1.549 some of you need to know about. If you process the system log, and pull WSPR spots from it, note the format has changed for spots found by any channel running in autorun IWBP mode. Previously a log showing this: Sun Jul 3…

Alright, so this was pretty terrible. But also kind of fortunate. There was a bug where multiple autorun channels could interfere with each other in certain circumstances. For example, if a channel had been set to IWBP autorun, then set to normal op…

Yeah, who knows these days. Anyway, got your forum message and replied. Thanks again.

Hi Wayne, I have nothing from you. Not even in the spam folder. And I checked reception by emailing to support@kiwisdr.com from elsewhere. Double check the address you used maybe? Thank you.

For your own Kiwi? Bring up the admin page, select the "control" tab, and click the KiwiSDR server restart button. This assumes you have auto updates enabled. If you're talking about other Kiwis that you just listen to, and they haven't up…

Okay, I think I found a problem. But I need a Kiwi to test with. I need the admin page password as well as ssh access + password on port 22 (or other). Change to temporary password values and email to support@kiwisdr.com please. A Kiwi with decent W…

Thanks for the detailed info. It helps tremendously. There is nothing you can do that should result in incorrect spot frequencies being reported. That can only be a bug someplace.
-
Sorry for being pedantic, but it's very important: Does that mean it was okay when run from a regular connection or that you never did that and only ever ran it from autorun mode? The way the WSPR code is invoked as an extension from a normal user c…

Are you running the single-frequency and IWBP from the WSPR extension on a normal browser connection? Or via the WSPR autorun mode configured by the admin page, extensions tab? Or it fails both ways?

The NAVTEX/DSC extension map is only relevant when Selcall mode is active (i.e. when an entry from the Selcall menu has been selected). And then only when unencrypted locations are contained in the Selcall packets containing position information. Ri…

Anyone else see this? The activity page on wsprnet.org is correct when you change bands in the extension. That's all I can easily test from here as I have no reception of WSPR signals (I have no reception of any kind which is pretty ironic).

Some of these measurements/recordings can be done now, but the tools may not fit your environment (e.g. kiwirecorder, to record Kiwi audio and save as .wav files, is a python script run from the Linux command line. You'd need to automate this with a…

Christoph added just that for the numerous AGC and scan options. You use the argument --agc-yaml=AGC_YAML_FILE and then AGC_YAML_FILE is a list of all the desired options (e.g. see the files *.yaml). But this isn't available for all the options in g…

Okay, just wanted to be sure. I think this issue should be squared away for now. Thanks

I forgot to add: Most browsers, including FF, have a way to specify the default and per-website audio/video blocking. The recent issue w/ FF 103 is that they changed the default from “allow A/V” to “block A/V” (most other browsers did this some time…

Okay, thanks for testing.

It's a slightly long story. But basically the BBAI-64 changes cleaned up a bunch of code that determines which Beagle and Debian version are being used. In your logs see how with v1.539 (which works) it says BBAI DEBIAN-9 USE_SPIDEV and /etc/debian_…

@rz3dvp Please try a change I just made by doing this (from a Linux root shell): cdp mst mdi gup m mi ku I think that should do it. Thanks
-
@rz3dvp Okay, I see what's wrong and will have a fix for you soon to test.

Jim, but running Debian 9 or 10? If D10, does your log say ### using SPI_DEV /dev/spidev0.0 or /dev/spidev1.0 ?

Great idea!

Part 3 of 3 7) With the AI64 powered off install the Kiwi board. Refer to the image below. Note the square "notch" in the Kiwi board to orient it properly. Align the Kiwi pins flush with the end of the P8 connector as shown by the green re…

Part 2 of 3 FIRST TIME SETUP: 1) WITHOUT the Kiwi board installed, provide airflow to the heatsink, connect Ethernet, and apply 5V @ >= 4.5A to the AI64 power input. 2) Find the Ethernet ip address assigned by your DHCP. Login using ssh/PuTTY as …

I tried a Kiwi from the US east coast midday 14230 kHz running v1.546 and it worked. v1.547 was okay too. What happens when you use the "test image" button on the extension? An absolutely purrrfect image 😬 from VE2JCW.. https://forum.kiwis…

Restart to get a fix in v1.547

@pe1rdp Do you mean for your own Kiwi? Because I see that it is running v1.545 and not 546. The 546 version was released only a few hours after 545 and while the update time window (2-6am local) was over Europe. So some Kiwis updated to 545 but won…

@Alsace Perhaps, but this has been a standard feature on most browsers for some years now to combat auto-start videos and audio from mostly advertisements. And I for one am very glad this has been adopted (although I am also a heavy user of ad bloc…

Okay, fixed in the Kiwi v1.546 release. FF 103 enables audio/video "suspend until user gesture" like most other browsers. This change interacted badly with Kiwi audio workaround code already existing for Firefox.

I have this working for the sliders in the main control panel. Should be in the next release. Until then, remember that you can click anywhere along the slider width and it will jump to that point. Not a precise positioning gesture but less tedious …
