Yeah, I think the other reason for us not to offer Paypal immediately is the crowdfunding aspect. As mentioned above Paypal is notorious for deciding, on a whim, to freeze your account for unclear reasons (especially with new accounts). And then tak…

Yes, I was tipped off to this by the new dumphfdl release: https://github.com/szpajder/dumphfdl/releases/tag/v1.6.0 I've incorporated the system table 52 changes for the next release.

Shouldn't be a problem. They just (ideally) need to be running the same software version. Absolutely respect the warning on the admin page about not trying to clone between a pre- and post-v1.602 Kiwi.

So Christoph (as he usually does, lol) got me to rethink what I had been doing with the FIR filter. And I immediately realized my stupid mistake. So the fix is working. The problem now is that a way must be found to squeeze an FIR filter onto the ou…

Be careful with Paypal John if people are going to want to do "Friends and Family" (the free option) transactions, because you're going to be running them at a scale that Paypal would detect, potentially resulting in your account being fro…

Guys: Please, please don't start a new thread. Add your request to the existing thread KiwiSDR 2: your expression of interest needed Otherwise the forum becomes swamped with new threads and people can't find anything else. Thank you.

Not too late. These responses will help us pick the number of units to build in the first run. So it's not a pre-order list or anything. When the store opens (a few more days) it will be first-come, first-served until the first run is sold out.

Yes. Are you able to open a port on you router for ssh? (either port 22 or some other port number). If so, then please set that up and email your public ip address and the serial number of your Kiwi to support@kiwisdr.com (the Kiwi serial number wil…

You should be able to edit your post at any time. Click on the "gear" icon that appears at upper right when you mouse-over the post.

Exactly the same.

You have to wait several minutes after powering up again (after the re-flash finishes) before the my.kiwisdr.com entry will appear. It takes that long for the server to start up. The one time it did appear did you try clicking on the link to take yo…

Okay, well it's slightly different if you downloaded the Debian 10 image (v1.486) onto an sd card instead of using the factory sd card that was in the original Kiwi shipping box (v1.2) v1.486 does have some of nice build monitoring tools. I tried a …
-
When you re-flashed from the sd card you got the documented "back-and forth" LED pattern for roughly 5 minutes ending with the Kiwi powering down? After you've re-flashed to software v1.2 on the original sd card, and the Kiwi has an Intern…

A quick update: Prototypes are due back December 20. As soon as we decide they work, and the manufacturer passes our qualification for volume production, the online store will open. Hopefully a few days after Dec 20. Depending on the early store ord…

Fixed in v1.645. No damage should have occurred to your dx.json file. Thanks everyone for your help.

I still need someone (who has the problem) who knows how to add a NAT/port-mapping entry to their router to map their public IP address, using some port number (22 or similar), to the local IP of their Kiwi at port 22. Example: 1.2.3.4:9022 (TCP, pu…

What I could do is temporarily put it on the proxy once I've connected via ssh. And then remove it when I'm finished. That wouldn't require you to do anything extra.
-
The fastest way for me to fix this is to be able to ssh into someone's Beagle (that has the problem) and run the Kiwi server under the debugger. Would require ssh port to be opened on router and Kiwi serial number emailed to support@kiwisdr.com Als…

Anyone else having this problem? It worked fine with all my testing: BBG/AI64, Debian 8/11/12.
-
Okay, should be fixed in today's v1.644 release.
-
I found it. I just need to get a release together..
-
Okay, well that's pretty definitive. I should be able to duplicate it here fairly quickly. Doing a "vmstat 1" is a pretty good way to see the free mem count go down if kiwid is leaking. That plus htop.
-
How many connections are we talking about over the total runtime of kiwid before it crashes? Maybe there's a small memory leak per connection that normally goes unnoticed. But in your case adds up because there are thousands of connections instead o…

A little more info. The text and image below attempt to describe what's happening. The AF spectrum (not RF) is shown on top. Since the RF is tuned to 10 MHz the spectrum represents the -6/+6 kHz audio passband (9994 - 10006 kHz). If the sig gen were…
-
Yes. I really only understood there was an aliasing problem last March when I added some tools (AF spectrum, sig gen improvements) and was working on the NBFM de-emphasis stuff. The good news is that it doesn't have anything to do with the ADC. The …

Remember that 8 channel mode is a little weird because things that don't use the waterfall, like autorun WSPR/FTn, try and always leave rx0/rx1 free for user connections. So although it will restart after preemption it may not behave exactly as you …
-
No, it should return to decoding afterwards. There will be a slight delay before it restarts (I forget how long).
-
Correct.

Per, I split your comment out from the Kiwi-2 "expression of interest" thread so it wouldn't get lost. It is an important topic that deserves further discussion. I believe this idea has been mentioned previously someplace (maybe by Martin?)

The better sensitivity won't be available for some time (assuming it's even possible). It requires significant rework of the FPGA code which is already short on space. Until then best to invest in a good antenna, feed line and ground plane.
