@VR2BG Give the "re-clone sources" another try and see what happens. We've had trouble in the past with ISP's mucking with DNS lookups causing problems with gihhub.com access. If that is the case here I have something else you can try.

I just now deleted my previous comment. v1.648 fixes the silent/blank audio/waterfall problem. v1.649 should fix the signal level problem. The FIR filtering is present in both cases.
-
The dead audio/waterfall/SNR problem should be fixed in v1.648. We'll address the gain issue later.

There are two DRM test sample files stored in the Kiwi software distribution. One contains Journaline content and the other slideshow content. You can find them here: Kiwi Beagle: /root/Beagle_SDR_GPS/unix_env/kiwi.config/samples/DRM.{BBC.Journaline…

It says right there in the instructions: "Press enter(return) key while positioned at end of text to submit data." You can't simply cut-and-paste alone. Pressing return while the cursor is positioned at the end of the input is the only way…
-
Well, I guess this was predictable. We didn't see this in all our testing. But it's possible the additional delay of the FIR filtering is somehow causing a problem with the realtime response. Although a calculation of the timing was done and it didn…

Fixed in v1.649

By default, kiwirecorder will use the af-only channels (rx2-rx7) first (unless you are also recording the waterfall via --wf).
-
Same as Kiwi-1. About 4.75 (although 4.85 is better) to 5.5
-
The new enclosure (the black one) is 70x50x125 mm (WxHxD), H includes bottom feet, D doesn't include SMA connector threads. The board-only (cape-only) product will not include an sd card. You'll have to supply your own and download the Kiwi-customiz…

On the keyboard. Type the h or ? key for a full list of all the keyboard shortcuts.

Re: Git clone damaged! On the admin page, console tab, try using the "re-clone sources" button. I think that is present in v1.627
-
That admin setting for the default database only applies for the first time ever a user visits the Kiwi. That is, the user doesn't have browser cookie set remembering the last database selected. So, as Martin said, as a user you have to use the \ ke…

If it lets you use "temppwd" then the Kiwi server code has never successfully run. So the install has failed somehow. If you could email the last 1000 lines or so of the log to support@kiwisdr.com I might be able to see what's wrong.
-
Sounds like the AI-64 software install didn't work, possibly. When you login to the AI-64 using the debian account is it accepting "temppwd" as the password or the Kiwi's serial number? If the serial number then the software was running, a…

It still works. Since that post new fields were added: c: SAM carrier freq, else zero ca: number of campers on this channel fo: freq offset (i.e. when downconverter used for rx above 30 MHz) nc: notify channel (debugging aid) ns: notify sequence (de…

Registering on my.kiwisdr.com is enabled by default. Just try it. Try kiwisdr-2.local:8073 or in general -N when there are multiple Kiwis on the same local network.
-
Does the website "my.kiwisdr.com" show anything about it? Are you trying to connect to kiwisdr.local:8073 ? What exact URL are you using?
-
If the entire AI-64 + Kiwi board is going to be in an enclosed box then there needs to be some sort of airflow. You might be able to accomplish this passively with holes in the top and bottom of the box and the AI-64 + Kiwi oriented vertically so th…

Oh yes, how can I forget TSP/TNP. A collection of test equipment I could only dream of!

Is that a dial (display) frequency or a USB passband center frequency? Martin has 10k DX labels in his Kiwis (e.g. wessex.zapto.org:8073), and 6783 (passband center, 6781.5 dial) is a DHFCS milcomm channel. Some people like to park on those channels…

Yeah, this is because your BBAI is running Debian 9. And with Debian 9 and beyond there is no root account access by default (has we had with Debian 8 on BBG/BBB). Something else to fix..
-
Sorry, yes, SMPS = switch mode power supply.
-
Could there be a really bad SMPS that's been introduced somewhere recently? Here's a Kiwi with S8 noise all across the MW band. This is classic badly behaved SMPS behavior where the unstable SM carrier gets wider at each harmonic (see 200 - 500 kHz …
-
S9 with no antenna connected? That's not good. If you zoom all the way out, and enable the RF spectrum display ('s' key), what level is the noise floor? Is it constant from MW all the way to 30 MHz? Can you post a screenshot here? I wonder if an ADC…

Shopify has flagged half of the orders as fraudulent to some degree or another. I'm not very happy about that. Fortunately I recognize most of the names.

The one prototype board I received today works fine. Peter will test the remaining 5 boards this evening with his large antenna farm so we can do some proper A/B comparisons.

@VE3QCX I'm thinking more like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175727515516 Where you can supply it line voltage and get DC jack and USB-A outputs. Much easier to deal with than wire posts. If required, be sure to tell them you need it strapped for 1…

@johnk5mo There are instructions on the forum now for both BBAI* and BBAI-64. The plan is to get Debian 12 images for all three Beagle variants. AI-64 in particular requires a different image because it is arm64 architecture, not simply arm(32). * T…
