The latest blacklist contains 47.250.0.0/15 (250.0.0:251.255.255), which is a superset of 47.251.0.0/17. So no need to add that additionally.

As usual, thanks to Christoph for spotting the TDoA problem. The TDoA extension should be working again. Only Kiwis running v1.653 or later will show in the map as sampling stations. About 275 at present. The problem was a latent bug in kiwirecorder…

Make sure your IP address blacklist is up-to-date by going to the admin network tab and checking for a message that a new blacklist is available. You may have auto downloading of the blacklist enabled. But that won't occur if you have active connect…

The messages from the build are not contained in the console log. They are contained in a separate file called /root/build.log So from the admin console tab you could do a cat ../build.log and email me that entire output (very long). However the fil…

So, the diff of /root/Beagle_SDR_GPS/Makefile that you're showing there, has nothing to do with anything. Those differences are for the Makefile target called create_img_from_sd: which is something only I use when creating the Kiwi distro image file…

As Martin points out, be sure the S-meter calibration value on the admin page, config tab, hasn't changed somehow.
-
I see that from V1 649 the dBm display is no longer correct. There is a difference of 6 to 8 dBm between what the value should really be. Which dBm display? S-meter or spectrum? The history of the audio gain problems (hence S-meter) is summarized in…

Not necessary or needed. The primary use of the proxy is to overcome ISPs that disallow incoming network connection establishment. I personally have a very dim view of ARDC and what they did with that IP space. As far as I'm concerned they, and ICAA…

Yes, that's really the best way to go. Anything else just has too many unknowns.

@WA2ZKD Don't bother. In a few weeks I'm going to have a new Debian 12 platform for all the Beagle platforms.
-
Okay, here's how you can fix this problem which only occurs on systems running in rx14 mode. You'll need to ssh/PuTTY into Debian running on your BBAI/BBAI-64. If you don't know how to do that send an email to support@kiwisdr.com and I'll try and ta…

Oops, never mind. There's a problem with rx14 mode. Hang on..
-
Well, I don't know. Compiles and works fine on a BBAI here using Debian 9.13 (also BBG, BBAI-64). The changes were pretty trivial. Let me know here what mode you run your BBAI in. rx4? rx8? rx14? Someone please email ssh login details to support@kiw…

@benson v1.652 won't work that way for TDoA. It has special tunable parameters that only I will be able to use. So adding it to the current pre-v1.647 list of TDoA hosts won't help.

@VR2BG I can roll yours back. Send email to support@kiwisdr.com when you're ready and have changed the admin pwd to what you had previously.
-
I can roll yours back. But I doubt it will change anything. The FIR adds a delay of 1.2 microseconds. Send email to support@kiwisdr.com when you're ready and have changed the admin pwd to what you had previously.

On the Wessex Kiwi-2 the rx0 sig gen sounds/looks fine. Simultaneously rx1 on 162 kHz still shows the problem.

Login as "debian" password "temppwd". Then "sudo su" using "temppwd" password again. Now "cd". Then "pwd". Should say "/root". Now "git clone https://github.com/jks-prv/Beagl…

If by "dropouts" you mean the periods when the audio goes silent and the waterfall goes black on the first (rx0) channel (just to be precise), it started with the v1.647 release and was fixed in v1.648. The level problem wasn't completely …
-
@G8JNJ Martin, I think something is up with the Wessex site. I see the issue you mentioned. But I can't find it anywhere else on Kiwis running pre-v1.647, 649 or 650, in the UK or France. Do you also note the attenuation drops every 12 seconds or so…
-
@G8JNJ Okay, I'll take a listen for that today. @WA2TP With v1.650 the noise floor level should return to "normal", i.e. about +4.5 dB higher than the drop that started with v1.647 when the anti-imaging filter was added. Yes, the reduction…
-
After more careful measurement, v1.650 changes the CIC compensation filter gain correction from +3 to +4.5 dB. This is more in line with what people are seeing who do long term recording of their noise floor. The S-meter now shows the 1/10 dB digit …

There is currently a problem with Kiwi's running v1.647 - 1.649. The GPS timestamp in the .wav file may not be valid/accurate. So please be aware of that. We are working on the problem..
-
@VR2BG Okay, running v1.649 now. @G8JNJ Yes, broken for me too. I'll look at it when I can (it's 1:30 AM for me now..)
-
75% done now. And I tested the scheme on a Kiwi I have here. It should work. At least to get you running v1.649. Hopefully updates after that.
-
In better news, here's some evidence the v1.649 signal level fix may be working. wspr.live graph of HB9VQQ/K Wsprdaemon 10m and 15m noise levels. You can see the 3 dB dive after the update to v1.647 and the recovery after updating to v1.649. https:/…

It's 21% done with 2:45 estimated remaining, so that's some improvement (you know how lousy these completion time estimates are, lol)
-
Ugh. Don't restart your Kiwi. I have a download running. But the estimated completion time is six hours. The file is compressed, but it's still 320 MB..
-
Are you subject to getting squashed by the great firewall? Because the transfer from github.com is getting consistently, inexplicably shut down after 51% of the files transfer over. I've never seen anything like that. I could try zipping up a copy h…

I'm assuming this is your public, proxied Kiwi. If so, probably easiest if you set a different, temporary admin password and email to support@kiwisdr.com. Then I can take a look directly and see what's up. Thanks.
