If your photo file is too large (over 1 or 2 MB) you'll get the HTML 400 or some other upload error. That's just weird that there's such a discrepancy between the two. I can't imagine how that could happen.

@WA2TP I was referring to the black waterfall you may get when TDoA preview mode returns to showing the waterfall for the current Kiwi. But your video shows another bug. Black audio-FFT waterfall when first using the wf averaging controls. That's s…

Are those really wires and not flat PCB traces that have been pulled off the board? Your photo is a little blurry so it's hard for me to tell. Also, I don't understand why the one ground lug of the SMA has a wire/trace. It normally only attaches to …

The TDoA stuff is better, but still has problems. If anyone has a reproducible set of steps that makes the waterfall preview oversaturated (red & orange colors), or the waterfall black, please let me know. I've only seen it a few times in testin…

Yes, I would do that. Those antennas are relatively inexpensive.
-
That is entirely normal (for a disconnected or broken antenna). What you're seeing is just the acquisition code trying to dig sats out of the noise. It tries the PRN of each sat as it scans the channels. And if the SNR is over 16 then it attempts to…

Yes, you want an active one that has at least +28 dB gain or so. And has the L1 center frequency (1575.42 MHz) with a bandwidth of +/- 1 MHz. And can accept 3.3V of course. Order one that has no more than 3 to 5m of that small diameter coax (typ RG1…

If anyone is having problem with their BBAI-64 not starting up using the v1.661 release please comment here or contact me at support@kiwisdr.com as soon as possible. Thank you.

v1.661 is the most recent version. But does the admin status tab say you're now on Debian 10?
-
Re-flashing from the Debian 10 sd card, that has v1.486 on it, should have default account passwords. And v1.486 (or v1.661 for that matter) should have detected this and changed the passwords to the serial number. Don't know why that wouldn't have …

The debian account password might still be the default temppwd or the Kiwi admin password.

There was a problem previously with the waterfall going black (incorrect max/min autoscaling) after "back to this Kiwi". So you're right, probably just another corner case to handle. The 10 second timer is arbitrary. It probably needs to b…

@HB9TMC There's some "special code" to identify and filter out those particular scanners since they use many IP addresses (some of which are not in the blacklist). But the code needs to be adjusted occasionally as their behavior changes. …

I updated my previous comment to be a little more clear.

How to fix a BBAI-based Kiwi server bricked by v1.660 update: Login to Debian/Linux running on the Beagle via ssh/PuTTY. Use "debian" account (not "root"). Password is likely Kiwi's serial number unless you've changed it. Type: c…

BBAI problem: If one of you could allow me ssh access over the net that would be very, very helpful. You have to add a port mapping entry to your router for port 22 (ssh) and point it to the Kiwi's local IP address. Also, your ISP has to allow incom…

@G8JNJ Yes, that map cluster stuff I use has never worked quite right. I've never figured out why (it's from a standard package that's supposed to just work). The default is to place the tuned signal at the center of the waterfall. But on a small s…

Not sure what's wrong with BBAI and v1.660. Does it work for anyone at all? All 5 public BBAI Kiwis that had automatic updates enabled seem to be dead. I wasn't able to test that combination here. The sd card slot on my BBAI has corroded from the fa…

We've made good progress on our software issue. Just doing some careful testing now. Then I need to make up a new set of "golden master" SD cards for the test & assembly guy to use and he can start shipping them (for real this time).

Also, the blanker/filter control panels each have a blue default button that resets all the parameters to the settings stored in the kiwi.config/kiwi.json file. Which could either be the "nominal" defaults or the ones set by the admin usin…

For a Kiwi where you have admin access see the more recent thread for a solution.

v1.660 limits the Kiwi blacklist filtering to the Kiwi server's active port number. So unrelated services, like DDNS, won't be affected if they are talking to servers hosted by providers in a blacklisted IP range.
-
Is there a URL parameter to invoke the Spectral Noise Filter on startup? Not a URL parameter (yet). But all the noise blanker/filter settings are stored in browser cookies. So should be restored when you visit the same Kiwi. For a Kiwi owner/admin y…

What software version are you running?
-
There is DHL tracking information because some labels got printed. But at the last second we had a software issue. So nothing has actually been shipped yet.
-
We've only printed up shipping labels for a few to test the Shopify/DHL integration. The actual shipping process will be slow because a software install and full system test is required on each unit. If Shopify or DHL asks you to install some app do…

I changed iptables to also filter on the Kiwi server local TCP port number. It seems to be working. So I'll put this in the next release. But I think I'll make it opt-in initially for testing (i.e. an admin page setting). Making changes to the funda…

But are you running the DuckDNS client on the Kiwi? Could you run the client on some other machine on your local network? Another thing we could do (I think) is make the iptable rules port-number specific to the Kiwi. That should let through the tra…

What? BBAI is not BBG, which is what the KiwiSDR 2 ships with. The BBG is fine. The BBAI was the first attempt at a faster BBG/BBB. But it has been superseded by the BBAI-64. So nothing has changed as far as KiwiSDR 2 is concerned.

Hi Rob, Sorry for the delayed reply. Crazy busy as we get ready to ship the first batch of Kiwi-2. Is this still an issue for you? Does the my.kiwisdr.com site show an entry for the Kiwi? (i.e. with a local IP address that matches what your AT&T…
