If this were a Kiwi-2 the reverse proxy configuration section would show something slightly different. For Kiwi-1s you still have to email me (support@kiwisdr.com) with your Kiwi-1 serial number and I'll assign you a value to put in the user key fie…

Really? Wow! I'd sure like to understand what about the BB is causing that level of RFI. I think the small EMI loop probes I have here are up to the task. If you're up to shipping it to me I'll reimburse you double what it costs you..

@bob53bob That's great. My apologies for being a bit short tempered about this. Things are totally out of control around here. I've got lots of very cool stuff waiting to be released in an update and I can't seem to make any progress on it because o…

@bob53bob So you said earlier you were using Win32DiskManager to copy the image file onto the sd card (I think you meant to say Win32DiskImager). After you've downloaded the KiwiSDR_BBG_BBB_EEPROM_fixer.img.xz file from kiwisdr.com you're using a de…

@WA2TP Well, about all I can suggest is to wait a bit longer for me to finish making the new Debian 11 image and then re-flash from that. It should put everything back into DHCP mode. It's takes forever to construct one of these distro images..
-
Okay, that's great to hear!
-
Sorry, once again I can't remember the total history here. Dozens of emails each day. So this is a new Kiwi-2. Has the Ethernet ever worked? Since you used the fixer sd card does it now display the Kiwi LED pattern mentioned on the Operation Informa…

Yes, definitely. Was it powering a BBG/BBB or BBAI/BBAI-64 through that connector?
-
Okay, so the problem is that your router, or whatever, has only assigned an IPv6 address to the Kiwi Ethernet. An IPv4 address is also needed (i.e. an IPv6 address alone won't work).

Try ifconfig eth0
-
@bob53bob Well, I don't know what to tell you at this point. My guess is that your ISP is throttling the download. Let me guess, a cable provider?
-
What do these say? cat /etc/systemd/network/eth0.network networkctl status ip
-
@WA2TP I can't keep all these individual problems straight: Are you running Debian 11? Use the dog command to find out. You could try and configure the eth0 port manually. But I need to know which Debian you're running.

The instructions tell you precisely what to do: --- IMPORTANT: How to use this EEPROM fixer SD card. --- Please read all of these instructions carefully before proceeding. --- --- Power off the Kiwi you need to fix. Insert the sd card. --- Locate t…

Well, since it's going to rebuild on the next update anyway do: cdp mc pkc This will no effect on the server running on that Kiwi since it uses files out of /usr/local/bin If that's not enough we'll have to trim the log files.

Was it where the header pins are soldered to the board? That's not surprising I guess as I believe they have to use selective soldering equipment separate from the SMT reflow oven process to handle the TH header. Thanks for the info.

Wrong buttons!!! You have to use the correct button. The instructions had a link to this: kiwisdr.com/boot.png The boot button/switch is on the other side of the Beagle PCB from the SD card slot.
-
Bob, what does your last comment mean? That you got the image onto the sd card using a PC successfully? If powering up with the sd fixer card installed doesn't power down within two minutes that means you didn't hold down the boot button before powe…

Okay, just know that those GPIOs are 3.3V MAX. So don't backfeed 5V into them. Worse, they also go to FPGA input pins. So putting 5V on them could possibly destroy the Kiwi and Beagle both.
-
Can you tell me exactly what/where the Beagle fault was? With a photo possibly? Email to support@kiwisdr.com if you don't want to post here. I'd like to understand the issue so I can have our assembly/test guy look for it. We've had a few of Beagles…

That's crazy. No space after copying 10 MB? Has to be a bad SD card. The lsblk says right there it's got 7.5 GB of space. Please try a different card. Also, BLKFLSBUF: Inappropriate ioctl for device is an error you'd get if not copying to a block de…

No. Just run the fixer.sh script again (or the longer filename if you downloaded that). If the script finds the file already downloaded it will use it. It will recompute the checksum to make sure the file is intact. Why on earth did it take 2 hours …

I made a simpler file name: fixer.sh

Bob, Try the procedure here and see what happens: https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/18029/#Comment_18029

Note that even though I have posted an sd card "EEPROM fixer" (see other thread) that doesn't mean it's safe to use the Debian 11 image to upgrade a Kiwi-1. I have pulled the website D11 images, but you could still use the backup function …
-
Okay, I have an sd card "EEPROM fixer" for this problem. Although it isn't completely clear to me if the problems @bob53bob and @WA2TP are having is really this issue or not. Still, it's worth trying this fix. Proceed as follows. How to ma…

Is this your own design that would require a new "backend" script? Or one that uses the Beagle GPIOs? I don't think any of the currently supported switches are kits, are they? Could be wrong about that..
-
Was just about to install the ant_switch extension, but I see from the git page that it is to be incorporated into a future build, is that correct? Yes, the next release integrates it. But it does no harm to install the current one. The configuratio…

Okay. It's possible then that the EEPROM on that board has the problem I've been chasing. Although I can't quite imagine how that could be. I have a new sd card that un-bricks the EEPROM. I need to make an image file from it put it up on the website.

Bob, does this happen to be the Kiwi-1 board I sent you recently?
