Okay, if you restart it should build v1.667 which will fix the problem. Thanks again.

This might be the same problem as Greg is having in a similarly titled thread. Fix coming soon..

Okay, I see what's wrong. Thank you very, very much. Fix coming soon..

You seem to be saying two contradictory things. That "the behavior is the same using either Brave or Safari" (presumably the crashing behavior). But then go on to say "Safari can run many hours continuously". Which is it? I'm run…

The example you gave for differing sensitivities is not very good because it relies on a single DSC decode. There's nothing else to compare to: how the waterfall looks, spectrum, S-meter, etc. Because of random factors the decoder can fail for weak …

Is there a way I could ssh into Debian on your Kiwi's Beagle and take a look at this? Do you know how to open the ssh port (22) on your router? And is you Kiwi accessible from the Internet? If so please email support@kiwisdr.com Anyone else having a…

I don't create new image files very often because it is a very complex and error-prone process. It literally takes the better part of a day. So I would never do it just because of a version update from v1.665 to v1.666. As others mentioned just use …

Does the update fix the Blank DNS Entries issue that disables Ethernet interface from Pre-1.666? Yes (just now added that to the CHANGE_LOG).

When running v1.666 (or later) on your Kiwi-2, and you experience the "26 dB" problem, before using the workaround to fix the problem please email serial number and admin password to support@kiwisdr.com. Then I can look at the new log mess…

Admin page: New admin tab "Users": Presents a list of all user connections since the server was last started. Essentially a consolidation of the "ARRIVED" and "LEAVING" log messages. A new entry appears …

The following improvements are based on suggestions made by the Kiwi community. Thanks everyone! Waterfall tab (WFn) has a new entry called "Spec RF passband marker". Similar to other SDR programs, when enabled this shows a trans…

@fabrys That IP address has been showing up elsewhere. Part of a Russian datacenter subnet. Onto the blacklist it goes..

Okay, yeah, that's more serious then.

Can you trust that thing not to over-torque though? An eBay search of "sma connector torque wrench" is kind of amusing. Triple digit prices down to double digits from China. Not clear if the China ones deliver the spec'd torque (0.3-0.6 N.…

Not sure I understand. Sure, people spoof stuff in the name/callsign field all the time. Not much to be done about that. But the log stuff is a little more serious.

Some of the timecode decoders have problems that need to be fixed. Been on my bug list for quite a while. The DCF77 decoder will never sync if the initial phase is wrong. Keep pressing the re-sync button until the red and black traces both move in t…

I'd have to look at this more carefully. It could be a timing bug where the connection attempt is denied due to lack of a provided password. But not before the code sees that no API-provided geo location information had been sent and attempts to obt…

@Dick Do you have any follow-up to this?

Okay, please someone let me know what you find on the my.kiwisdr.com?dump site using an iPad running iOS 16. And also if /?m fixes the problem or not. The only iPad I have is an ancient gen 3 from 2012 running iOS 9 🙄

Well, maybe this is a problem. Devices running iOS shouldn't respond any differently when the mobile (.../?m) URL option is used. But the detection of iOS depends on the browser correctly reporting iPad (or iPhone) in the user agent string from the …

I gave up trying to write code to cover all the changes Apple kept making to every iOS version they released. It was like herding cats. I had more important things to be working on. Someday, if I ever have time to write a proper mobile interface, th…

For the next release I've made including the city an admin checkbox option since there were requests on both sides.

mu md ku and kd take a long time (tens of seconds) because they run make. And the current Makefile has to look at too many files before it does anything (it's on my list to fix).

Does the IQ panel say "GPS is correcting" where the Fcal +/- buttons would otherwise be? If the GPS is correcting then the Fcal buttons are not shown because they would have no effect. The two frequency correction mechanisms are mutually e…

There is also an alias for the alias command. It is al. So you can say al ku and it should show you what the alias is. If you get an error the .bashrc file might be damaged as Manfred points out.

Okay, now fixed in the next release. This was just a bug in the code that imports the CSV files. Internally the condition that specifies no time interval is start, stop = 0,2400 or 0,0. My code to filter out these values from the CSV file import was …

v1.666 has many user-suggested improvements. I'm just waiting until the NA eclipse is over before releasing it. Don't want to disturb anyone's Kiwi before that..
-
Thanks for the feedback. Maybe that needs to be (yet another) admin option to keep everyone happy. Also, v1.666 has a new admin option that forces users to enter a non-blank name/callsign before allowing a connection. It replaces the "Click to …

I dunno. Works fine for me. Chrome version 123.0.6312.107 (Official Build) (arm64) Try disabling all plugins/extensions and see if anything changes. But seriously. It's 2024. Stop using Chrome. It's a dumpster fire.

More specifically: The geolocation records often store city, region and country. So I would propose continuing to use the region information. That way you'd still get USA states for example which are encoded as a region.
