Can you cause the failure now so I can look at the proxy server and see why it isn't initializing the proxy correctly. Let me know when it's in that state. Thanks.
-
If you're going to use the reverse proxy then it doesn't matter if the router has a port 8073 NAT entry or not. That's the reason for the proxy in the first place. So if the auto-add NAT (via UPnP) is failing, for whatever reason, it shouldn't matte…

So with Debian 8.5 you could go to the log directory and see if there is a problem: cd /var/log du root@kiwisdr:/var/log# du 4.0K btmp 4.0K dmesg 4.0K ntpstats 4.0K syslog.2.gz 4.0K syslog.3.gz 4.0K syslog.4.gz 4.0K syslog.5.gz 4.0K syslog.6.gz 12K…

Okay, I added a plugin that allows some content to be added to profiles. For now just Location, Callsign and "Additional information". Let me know if you think we should have others. Look at my profile as an example (click "jks" …

journalctl: unrecognized option '--vacuum-size=10M' There's your problem. It seems that option is not available on the stock Debian 8.5 journalctl. But it is present if you do an update to 8.11 (I just tried it here). That other problem looks like a…

It's a pity that this form doesn't allow you to modify your profile.. It doesn't? I can probably fix that..

The ADC is just under-sampling stuff above Nyquist. That's why you often find ADCs with huge input bandwidth specs way in excess of their sample rate capability. With the right image filtering ahead of the ADC the Kiwi could under-sample stuff above…

I had a sig gen (hp 8657) connected to a Kiwi for other reasons. So tried a few things: Kiwi-1, 42.5M in, 24.166M out, 21 dB down Kiwi-2, 42.5M in, 24.166M out, 24 dB down Kiwi-1, 47.5M in, 19.166M out, 31 dB down Kiwi-2, 47.5M in, 19.166M out, 33 d…

There's a bug with option 1. Introduced in software release v1.667 and fixed in v1.676 and. I believe it only keeps the email link from working if you are using Firefox.

It would be interesting to see the spectrum display (including the dB scale on the right) as well as peak S-meter readings with the passband centered on the signal. It's impossible to judge the strength of these signal looking at the waterfall alone…

Yeah, I very much doubt this. But I suppose now I'll have to spend time setting a Kiwi here with that old release so I can do some A/B comparisons. I really don't have time for this. I am fighting so many fires. So many emails..

Thanks Carl for reporting this. Always interesting to know there are people actively probing the API as opposed to bots just running around.

Hi Frank. Yes, quite right. Subsequent to my initial posts in this thread the Austravel Safety Net was mentioned by Martin. I added their channels to the Selcall frequency menu. They even have two Kiwis of their own located on each coast accessible …

This is from the Wessex Kiwi-2 using DCF77 77.5 kHz. Seems okay. But it's just one data point. https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/476/R4KWG9ZTUE0T.png

"no config pwd set" in this case just means there is no user connection password set. Which is how almost all public Kiwis are configured.
-
On another Kiwi is see where this IP address is connecting every 30 seconds for a short amount of time. I've added the entire IP range (Russia) to the global blacklist.

Those look normal. Remember that more messages appear in the admin log tab than the Linux syslog. Because the log tab also contains messages that are considered "debugging", hence not syslogged.
-
I completely forgot about that.. Thanks!

Okay. But history has shown that, at least in the case of the Kiwi, being on the bleeding edge of what the Beagle guys are doing w.r.t releases has no benefit and significant downside (consider the recent ssh/liblzma issue).
-
Agree with Martin. If you want to use the DUC you have to read the documentation. The link is right there highlighted in yellow on the admin page connect tab, DUC section. After entering your noip.com information you've got to press the "click …

What Beagle release is using Linux 6.1? I haven't seen that (but admittedly don't 100% keep up with what they're doing). I thought about using PREEMPT_RT way back in 2014. But I didn't know anything about it. I figured if the entire project was pred…

Hi Jeff, I have to do this manually (and I'm obviously tardy in doing so). I download the latest .csv file from eibispace.de and run it through a custom C program I wrote that parses that file and builds another file that is compatible with the DX l…

It's been years since I did this. But there's some code commented-out in the FPGA programming routine that I think does a loopback test of the SPI interface. You have to remove the Kiwi board and jumper the MOSI and MISO signals together of course. …
-
Your responsibility. But be careful. We had plenty of trouble in the past (mostly with Debian 8) because people would jump the gun and update/upgrade before I had cleared it. The problem wasn't with what Debian had done but rather with what the Beag…

The problem is that the users tab is designed to be a summary of connections made. Not an exhaustive list of individual connection information. This allows it to be maintained in a low overhead manner, i.e. in-memory, bounded, efficient to update. A…

Okay, /snr?measure (from the local network only) added to /snr interface for the next release.
-
@f6bir2 Okay, thank you. The OE5xxx in my email is also named Rene, hence my confusion. Thanks very much for the log file. I need to figure out what exactly happened..
-
Okay. I was just amazed that @f6bir2 seemed to solve an identical problem just by re-flashing from an older image (exact version still unknown) to v1.665. I still don't understand how that could possibly have been true.
-
If I were to add an option to the existing /snr URL (that would only work from the local network) would that work for you? Like /snr?measure

If the Kiwi server sees that the debian account password is set to temppwd (the Debian distro default) it changes it to the serial number of the Kiwi board.
