v1.800 does not have the admin page reload problem. v1.800 fixes that problem. I want to state this so people don't get the wrong idea and start complaining to me (this happens all the time when inaccurate information is posted on the forum). What y…

Well, I still can't figure out why some Debian 8 systems get stuck updating to v1.800. I keep testing new systems and the updates keep working. So today I'm just going to enable all of them to update and see what happens. There are about 375 public …

Okay, I see what's wrong. Will be fixed in v1.801
-
Oh, I see what you're saying. I thought I tested that..
-
This has already been fixed in v1.800.

If you are unable to place the GPS antenna in a location where it receives enough sats to do a frequency cal then it is possible to do a manual calibration. Instructions are on the admin page, "config" tab, at the bottom of the page. Also,…

Well, that's amazing. But I learn something new about this project almost every week. Thanks for taking the time to document this.

I don't understand this at all. If you really put 5V on the FPGA's 1V power inputs it should be DEAD. 5V would have instantly punched through all of those 28 nm gate structures!

I use an M1 Pro and it works for me. But there was an issue with Firefox a little while back where it got an error with the SWBC site which does not support HTTPS. Other browsers were okay. But the latest Firefox (133.0) doesn't seem to have this pr…

Today we're enabling an auto update to v1.711, and thereby on to v1.800, for Debian 8 Kiwi's with admin passwords starting with the letter "i" through "l". If this is successful the next update will be applied to all D8 systems. …

Nope. No changes. Make sure you don't have the denoiser filter turned on at the same time as the autonotch. That can lead to the digital "watery" sound you describe. Particularly with the LMS filter. While testing I found the LMS and wdsp …

The image you download to create an SD card for re-flashing a BBG/BBB-based Kiwi-1 or Kiwi-2 has been updated from Debian 11.9 to 11.11 and Kiwi software release v1.690 to v1.800. Full instructions here: http://kiwisdr.com/info/#id-net-reflash

Yes, this problem can occur anytime in the future a Kiwi first crosses the barrier between pre- and post-v1.8xx. That's the point at which the git repo rebase occurs. So going from v1.699 to v1.8xx qualifies (even if v1.800 itself is skipped). In yo…

Okay, these 5 have been fixed. Others are in the queue. Anyone else, assuming your Kiwi has Internet access, email the link/URL and admin password to support@kiwisdr.com. It can take a couple hours to fix the build depending on various factors. Some…

Early morning here now. I have email from five of you with the admin connect looping problem. Will get started on fixing those. Of the public Kiwis looks like about 280 of them have updated (so far) to v1.800 without any problem.

If your Kiwi has the problem where admin connections repeatedly reload a few seconds after you connect I now have a solution for this that doesn't require the hassle of opening an ssh port on your router. Just email support@kiwisdr.com the Internet …

Today we're going to try rebasing all Kiwis (except those running Debian 8) to v1.800. Please be patient. This is a long update as the file cache has to complete a one-time load which takes extra time if your Internet connection to kiwisdr.com happe…

There is no way any coupling between the feed lines is causing enough DC to appear to light the LED. What happens if you physically remove the battery? (or power supply connection) My guess is that the power switch doesn't really do the full job and…

Something like that should work. The aliases I setup (pkup, pkug) use apt-get. Doing this should get you to Debian 11.11 I believe.

Make sure you're not really plugged into the GPS port which does have a 3.3V bias tee. From a DC point of view the RF input only has a 100k to ground static drain resistor. Schematic: http://kiwisdr.com/docs/KiwiSDR/kiwi-2.schematic.pdf

v1.800 removes the /root/Beagle_SDR_GPS git clone subdirectory which had grown to anywhere between 500 and 1600 MB and replaces it with a new clone called KiwiSDR (current size 55 MB). And also a new directory /root/KiwiSDR.files updated from kiwisd…

I've re-enabled the v1.709 update, which should do a v1.800 upgrade, for all Kiwis except those running Debian 8 (and also limited to those with admin passwords beginning with the letter 'a' through 'h'). The fix to prevent admin connection looping …

The autonotch settings will appear after you select either the wdsp or LMS noise filters. Scroll the audio tab down a little bit after the selection.
-
Okay, but is that a WiFi inside your location or a wireless connection from your ISP?
-
Yeah, there's something really wrong there. Half the files load and the later half all get HTTP 404s (not found). What type of ISP is your new connection? (e.g. 4G, fiber, starlink etc.) On the admin webpage tab, half way down on the left, set this …
-
@barneyuk That's very odd. In general the latest update has been working fine. Since an admin connection is not stable about all we can do here is to allow me to ssh into the Beagle directly and see what's going on. But that requires you to NAT-map …

If it's a Kiwi-1 on the user page RF tab when you hover over the RF attn slider or buttons you should get a popup that says "no RF attenuator on KiwiSDR 1". On the admin config tab the "Allow RF attenuator switching by:" menu sho…

When doing the rebase to v1.8xx the build time is very long. At least 1.5 hours depending on the speed of your Internet connection. This is because all the cached files must be rebuilt and the large static files initially downloaded. Do not interrup…

v1.709 attempts the git rebase on a larger subset of Kiwis: Those having admin passwords starting with the letters "a" through "d". This is to limit any possible damage as well as test the loading on the forum server which is the…

Please email your Kiwi admin password to support@kiwisdr.com (set a temp pwd if you like)
