Thanks John
-
did you intend to run wsprdaemon? If not, that shouldn't be running.
-
just sitting on 14.230 (Image)
-
Jon, make sure you are using the minus sign on your passband, eg: /kiwiclient/kiwirecorder.py -s 192.168.1.6 -p 8073 -f 3330 -m iq -L -5000 -H +5000 --log-level=info --dt-sec=360 --station=CHU I missed that the first time
-
Jon, there's a redirect function a kiwi owner can set up that might cause you getting an alternate kiwi (Image)
-
Jon... without knowing what your endgame is.... I never use SDR#... I take the I/Q stuff either live or recorded and feed it to program like Sodira or SpecLab which you can run with wine

Sorry Jon, I saw you "got down to the part about wsjt-x"... so thought you were trying for that (too)
-
ignore

Does Ron have band reject filter for MW BC?
-
be careful with filters between the splitter and RX. Depending on type, they may not be isolated by a resistive splitter.
-
BTW. You can download stuff directly from that dropbox repository. From the admin page, connect via the console tab and run the following commands: cd /root/kiwi.config wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/envtq0zl33t3bas/dx.zkd_apr2019?dl=0 mv dx.zkd_ap…
-
The offer is still open for you to mail me your own file for placement in dropbox, see top post in this thread
-
I added my current dx.json here https://www.dropbox.com/s/envtq0zl33t3bas/dx.zkd_apr2019?dl=0 it may be relevant for other northeast US kiwi and a better starting point that the one that comes with a kiwi

I guess I am.... I imagined that the server end would put the offset in and the html5/java that loaded out to a client could normalize it.
-
the 0-127 range of a single byte could be offset. I don't think 0 or -10 dBm will/can ever occur. A 10 dB offset would allow -137, with the offset removed at the client.
-
I am thinking about the often flat gain of the LNA in an antenna, like a loop
-
so you applied no adjustment for antenna then?
-
I am not really interested in > 30 MHz at the moment but since nobody else commented on my idea, I just ordered the stuff above and as time permits, will try it and report
-
A thought..... make a version of the antenna switch extension that is aimed at switching downconverter(s) bands and at the same time switch the kiwi offset
-
if the RPi PSU is a switcher, that is the source of the noise
-
is there a + conversion gain in the downconverter? How much? What unit did you buy?
-
US de-emp is 75 uS https://www.fmsystems-inc.com/de-emphasis-response-table-75us-25us-j-17/
-
I will try to get some de-em measurements made later this week....
-
Thanks!
-
this worked ./kiwi_nc.py -s [myip] -p [myport] -f 3330 -m am | aplay -t raw -c 1 -r 12000 -f S16_LE
-
John, I had sort of assumed the audio format you suggested but didn't have luck with that. Got audio but not usable. kiwi_nc lacks --resample. I assume you were referring to that link you posted
-
John, kiwi_nc doesn't seem to output a wav format like kiwirecorder, what is the format?
-
I am playing with something related.... kiwi_nc.py playing to live audio a lightweight simple player
-
Here, I have #1 and #2 running 7X wsprdaemon and #3 not, just public access. All three run from a split common 40 db gain GPS antenna. I see nothing like what you see.
