by adding a BPF, you'd make it a single user receiver, unless everyone wanted to be on the same band! What problem are you trying to solve?
-
Congrats.... I have been hearing Steve lament for 30+ years not hearing it.

Martin, in Rob's wspr scheme the processing delays are no different than in wsjt-x as it uses wsprd. The use of a 2nd device, RPi or whatever assures that there is adequate computing power to assure timeliness of everything. The inability of a kiwi …

if you haven't bought the RPi yet, consider an Odroid XU4 for even more horsepower
-
Only 1 instance of FT8 is running at a time, correct?
-
DGPS can be done with an external decoder by piping the browswer audio via a VAC to something like Spectrum Lab
-
I think you'll run out of mips on the BB
-
0.2 ppm is pretty good for most everything (else). The Iono stuff needs a stable TX too.
-
I note that the high-quality shielded Cat cables have the drain wire tack soldered to the metal clip at the plug. Sadly, I have also found that "professional" installers often do not even deal with the drain wire on installations in busine…

Kiwi starup inrush is high but the run-time power is < 1 amp.
-
Glenn..... "There ain't no such thing as ground." But what about the all powerful Green Wire? I'm forever disappointed at how many people, even in the radio industry, don't get it!
-
You can do this with an external decoder on a 2nd computer. An elegant solution would be Rob's kiwiwspr.sh scheme. You might also consider the use of WSPR-15
-
just looked at my 4 kiwi and don't see the red S on any of them...
-
many of your "looks" are rather low angle, I wonder if that's part of it.
-
the wspr extension follows the preassigned bands, you can't force it to a "non standard" freq. AFAIK
-
Glenn, you'd have to run kiwirecorder on another computer like Rob does with kiwiwspr
-
you can use kiwirecorder.py to capture an audio file and then process it with a standalone decoder. No browser needed.

Congrats to Steve KD2OM on his logging of 8Q7HI Maldives on 30M. One of 3 wspr reporters in US to do so. Steve has been second only to K9AN for unique spots in the US for a few weeks. Credit should also go to John for the kiwiSDR and Rob whose ki…

I have a ballsy linear PSU on a UPS, never see any problems on either kiwi
-
swap kiwi cape with one on one of your others and see if problem follows it
-
Mike, Is your kiwi public? Is it the same on both the Pixel and the Wellbrook?
-
Picture of my system 12 channels of wspr using Rob's script (Image)
-
I note the OV (overload) is on, what signal is causing that? That and your noise may be related. Is the OV on continuously?

just ran across this https://github.com/EliasOenal/multimon-ng

You may also wish to use the beta wsprd which is now at 2.0 rc3 as it offers +1dB better SNR
-
I'd be happy with a NO GUI option. Just 8 (or more) channels that could only be accessed by kiwiclient etc.
-
most of the grove stuff that is easy to get going on a BB is written for debian stretch whereas kiwi is at jessie, so have to sort that out
-
a little humor..... I have both WHAM and WACK nearby but neither cause problems :-)
