if you want to catch all the 80M spots, you need to do both old and new sub-bands, they are both still active
-
it was a joke! buy as... bias
-
what does that buy us!

I was involved in the design of a similar antenna 25 years ago..... I'll see what details I can find.

I also played with json->csv conversion to import into Excel, but concluded the hand edit of json worked adequately http://www.convertcsv.com/json-to-csv.htm
-
I edit them my making a copy of dx.json and editing the copy. copy the new file back to dx.json and restart the server. the json format is easy to grasp for edits.

filtered D are cheap if just ferrite but get pricey when there's a network

I wonder if a layer of this between the BBG and Cape would offer any advantage https://www.dupont.com/products/pyralux-tk.html

Christoph is on holday IIRC. He could answer...

I intend to make some new ends via CAD/CAM soon
-
Nice report..... are the PSU linear?
-
looking at VA7WWV as a user, all seems normal. You even have the all too typical spurious at the high end which can be usually reduced.

I run Linux and the equiv. VAC there but I think you need a W10 VAC users to give you specifics. Confirm which VAC you are using
-
You don't configure the browser. It always feeds out the same place. That is handled in the VAC
-
There's no setting in the browser or the kiwiSDR*. It's all the VAC and App you need to configure. Please mention your OS and Apps so others can help. * mode is likely I/Q but again it depends on app

any study of the ionosphere would likely ignore "flyers", high or low, and those could simply be ignored in the logged data. I have suffered through a lot of OV stuff here and am not sure that factoring it into such a study would work. Fo…
-
An issue I foresee is that a single "fire" of the OV may not align with any gain compression or other phenomena. I have observed that here and John has mentioned it over the years (wow, it's been years now)

GPS performance can be affected by signal strength and multi-path. The latter can be quite an issue on indoor and/or window sill installs. On my day job, we did a study of GPS and ending up getting rid of a commercial module in one of our products …

Martin, are your loss values measured thus including the 50-75 mismatch loss?
-
I only await a PayPal e-mail to send my $
-
with the 40dB gain antenna and short coax, you may be putting too much signal in... so the long coax is a good thing
-
Is your puck on any ground plane and which side of the building is it on?
-
That map freezing occurs on my Linux Chrome browser too..... has for a long time.... not thought to be a kiwi issue
-
Mini-Circuit makes some stuff that would work and you can often buy them surplus on eBay quite cheaply. For an amp, I use a ZFL-500 and for splitter ZSC-3-2+
-
What kind of antenna are you trying to split?

http://forum.kiwisdr.com/discussion/comment/3677#Comment_3677 look at jimlill.com:8073, it has 3 notches in the MWBC band as I have local TX just about 1.5 miles away. rest of band is usable

Nice work.............. very similar to what I was going to do, but project got pushed aside for now
