@F5AFY, This time everything went well following your result and my log is OK. My intention is not to stop the TDOA service, I was wondering why it was denied sometimes. May be when all channels are busy with regular users ? See your connection into…

Hi, not a side effect since I discovered this before I put the IP in my local blacklist. Clarification : I noticed that the IP address of the kiwi web site is denied by my system and no this IP is not in my local blacklist anymore and yes the tdoa s…

4 all of them in fact

OK Sorry for my lack of knowledge about it. But in this case why my system denies this connection ? (see my log)
-
sorry for my english "despite" instead of "despate" and "still" instead of "stil"

Hi, good ideas, I am supporting these. 73

Tnx I did not pay attention to this solution.

I had to blacklist 3 different IP addresses before the attack stops. Each time I added an IP to the blacklist, I noticed the following message from the log : "Admin connection closed" or something looking like from my memory. I think this …

Hi, this morning my log looks like someone is trying a brut force on my kiwi. Could somebody confirm if this is an attack ? I am not an expert in this matter. https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/173/OJBGK42FD6IJ.png https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/5…

I received the replacement protection today, plugged in and the kiwi looks like happy ;o)) There is no noticeable attenuation with this one. Thanks again for the way you managed this issue. VY 73 Francis.

Today I tried something else. Since the power plug of the kiwi is a 2 contacts (phase and neutral) I reversed the way it is plugged into the socket. The effect of the groung connection on the SNR mesurement has been changed in the other way around.

Hi, No lightning strike yet. I did not receive my protection it will be in a couple of day. But since I am working on the ground matter better to do everything well in once.
-
do the kiwi and/or the antenna need to be grounded to have this protection working efficiently ?
-
Tnx for your comments I will try something in this way. I found a temporarily solution which I would assess as a dirty workaround but leaves me the possibility to stay in the top ranking. I grounded the kiwi through my kmtronic realy board and sele…

From a SWL point of view you are right the HF signals are the most important. But from a ranking point of view when you filter the Kiwi list to view only the french ones I loose quite a lot of places. So if I could fix this I would be happy. If not …

Tnx for the tip. When I connect the ground I loose around 20 dB between 500KHz and 1300 KHz.

Ran the test, nothing wrong 73 F5LFE

I would bet on the postal process since the envelope was not in very good state

Hi, the meaning of "two different adaptators" is the way to connect the PCB female SMA to the kiwi female SMA

Many thanks in advance. 73 F5LFE

Tough luck to me... on the top of that it took 6 weeks to come home. I am going to order another one then. 73 F5LFE

Thanks for your hard work to the benefit of the community

59 +30 db without the protection and 53 with the protection The frequency is 162 KHz

I did not set the RF attenuator correctly so I did it and restarting the server fixed both problems. Many thanks for your help. VY 73 F5LFE

Additional info : the time limit exemption does work but not the attenuator nor the antenna switch
-
Nice features but... I cannot use the cmd+C with my MAC anymore for copying text. Instead of copying it goes to the control tab

Thanks to both of you. I am going to purchase a 32 GB MicroSDHC. VY 73

This is done, you can connect to it for testing mixing antennas. A picture of how I did the hardware : https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/705/M7AW00DW4ESJ.jpg
