Seeking assistance for setting up SDR

Hello everyone,

It's a pleasure to be here.I am a beginner of KIWISDR.

I am interested in the aviation radio communications over the Pacific Ocean. I also want to analyze the ACARS and CPDLC data.

Could you please tell me what the best equipment combination solution would be based on this requirement?I don't know where to buy the antenna, and I also don't know how to assemble it.

    Hi,

    Can you tell us where you are located, and what type of space and environment you have available for antennas, as this will define what you can receive.

    My Wessex SDR's, located on a hilltop in the SW of the UK, have exceptional reception, and I can usually decode HFDL signals from aircraft all over the world.

    However, I receive very few aircraft flying over the Pacific. I'm not sure if this is simply because they are simply too far away, or if there are not that many aircraft flying those routes, in comparison to say those using the major overland routes, especially around Europe, India, Asia etc.
