Why no registration at rx.kiwisdr.com?

Hi all,

Today I had to reinstall my kiwi-1 because of a crash or something like that. Now, when I try to register at rx.kiwisdr.com I get the following message:

Error, you must first setup a valid Kiwi connection URL on the "connect" tab

I'm sure I did provide a valid hostname in the fields:

  • Domain name
  • Specified IP (with my ip-number).

I guess that should be enough. I do not use a reverse proxy ( I never have used that by the way).

So what could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Did you automatically or manually upgrade to v1.816 or v1.817 ?

All stations with v1.816 do not respond to some browsers, and 817 is solving the problem.

  • Hi,

Thanks for your reply. The Kiwi is manually upgraded to 1.802, from that version tot the latest (1.817). With another browser, I still can't make it register. This is very strange.

  • I guess I found it. After installed it is obviously necessary to click "public IP" in the connect tab, and then it asks for a restart. Now it is solved!

  • What is the line selected in green, "Domain name" or "Specified IP" ?

Before the initial crash, you were using option "Automatically install software updates = YES" ? (Admin/Update tab)

Better wait for @jks, my questions/answers may spare one day/night cycle with the other hemisphere. 😄

  • OK, we posted at the same time. Fine !

  • But it is not listed currently and not sending public registration info to kiwisdr.com

Are you sure you still have registration set to "Yes" on the admin public page?
