Help needed: fixing the "connections from 127.0.0.1" problem [fixed in v1.816]

[update: I think this problem may have been found]

I need to understand and fix the problem with connections appearing from the network loopback address (127.0.0.1). This should not be occurring. It might be associated with Kiwi owners using custom proxy solutions -- I'm not sure. But I need to understand what's going on.

The problem is that none of the development Kiwi I have access to have this problem. And I can't debug a problem I can't see/replicate.

If you have a Kiwi where this problem is frequently occurring, and can give me ssh access through your router, please email support@kiwisdr.com. It needs to be occurring frequently because if I make a software debugging change, but the problem doesn't recur for 2 days, that doesn't really help. I need 127.0.0.1 connections to be occurring every few hours at least.

Thank you

NOTE: If your log has messages like the following they can be ignored. They come from the SNR measurement routine. They will be eliminated in the next release.

  • I think this problem may have been found.

  • Yep, bug in the Mongoose web server we use. Fixed by switching to an updated version. I had been planning this switch for a long time (it's needed for wide band mode), but delayed because it's a major change. Now there is a good reason to finally make the switch..
