Ionospheric Heaters?

Listening on 8.175 MHz to a transmitter sending evenly spaced emissions. Wondering what it is about. Found these links.

Hi Ron,

As far as I'm aware DARN is only occasionally used these days when they can afford to put some money in the electricity meter.

However there are a whole host of other atmospheric sounders and radars that can be heard almost continuously.

Here is a quick guide to some of the more obvious ones.

Hi Ron,

I made a mistake in my last posting.

I said DARN but I meant HAARP.

DARN is active and can be heard sounding like a road drill as it stays on a frequency for a few seconds before moving to a new one.
