Interesting - a good strong signal from one of the cuban number stations

  • Yes, still plenty around. Which KiWi did you use to receive it ?

Just some general information that may be of use to yourself or others reading this.

Priyom is a good source of information regarding number stations, and has a dynamic list of daily schedules.

If you are generally interested in short wave utility stations, I can also recommend the UDXF IO group, especially if you are trying to ID unusual signals and modulation schemes.

If you do find some strange signals, the Signal ID Wiki is also a very useful resource.

  • I used my own KDSR2

Priyom is a great site for all things related to these stations

  • It's fun to catch Radio Havana Cuba transmitting on the frequencies normally used with their numbers stations. Likely due to error since it originates from the same transmitter site.

  • Which KiWi is your own KiWi, where is it located, and is it public ?

Thinking about this, as this forum only allows limited information to be included in our profiles, it would probably be a good idea for folks to include their KiWi URL(s) in relevant posts.
