suddenly having an intermod issue
I've had this kiwi for a few years and has been just great. Within the last month I have been having strong Ix every 50 kc from an AM station about 5 miles away, a 50 kw non-directional. But this is sudden. And keeps flashing the 0V overload signal. Here's the thing though, I split the longwire antenna into a NOOELEC up converter to a websdr system. That does not see this problem at all. I put a 3db pad on the kiwi input and the problem almost completely resolved. Tells me the mix is happening in the kiwi. But why all of a sudden? Anyone else seeing this?

Is this a KiwiSDR 1 or a KiwiSDR 2 with the built in attenuator? Does this 50kW signal appear the same or stronger compared to what other local AM signals typically were at?
Did the problem occur after you split the Longwire antenna ?
It may simply be that the RF levels have changed, due to a different matching arrangement, or propagation has altered, driving the KiWi into Overload.
