Minor problem with frequency jump [fixed in v1.823]
Hi and good morning from Germany,
I have discovered a minor problem (on my end).
When I select the 40 m amateur radio band and go to 7200 kHz and then click the “-” button (-1 kHz), a jump of -5 kHz is executed. So from 7200 to 7195 kHz.
However, it should probably be -1 kHz, since this is the 40 m amateur radio band. After that, it continues correctly with -1 kHz.
When I select 7199 kHz, the jump is also performed correctly with -1 kHz.
In the other direction, +5 kHz is OK because that is where the 41 m broadcast band is located.
I also tested the 80 m and 20 m bands. At the upper limit of the 80 m band (3800 kHz) and also at the upper limit of the 20 m band (14350 kHz), this does not happen; the jump is correct at -1 kHz.

You can define the channel values for each band, whether amateur or broadcast, in the DX/Band bars tab in the Chan section, enter 1. Next to the band you want to edit, the + and - buttons will change the freq. every 1 kHz, so for AM stations it will be 1 kHz, not 9 or 10 depending on the defined region.
I know the settings. They are correct as far as I can tell.
The jump from 1 kHz in the 40 m amateur radio band does work.
However, only the special case of 7200 kHz back to 7199 kHz results in a jump from -5 kHz to 7195 kHz.
From 7199 kHz, it jumps correctly to 7198 kHz. It also works correctly for all other amateur radio bands.

Okay, I think I have this fixed. Will be in the next release.
It a corner case: When two bands abut each other, and you're tuned to the exact frequency in common with the bands (e.g. 7200 as mentioned here), the
- - -
buttons should use the lower band's tuning step. And the+ + +
buttons should use the upper band's tuning step. The story is slightly more complicated for overlapping bands. Which right now occurs for ITU R3 (Asia/Pacific) with the 40m amateur and 41m broadcast bands. Basically 41m has priority because it's first in the admin DX tab "band bars" list (unless you've changed it).
Hi John,
Thanks.
Unfortunately, I hadn't noticed the overlapping areas. Then of course it makes sense to use the prioritized area as a basis.
