S Meter extension calibration

I've long been a fan of the great S Meter Extension and have suggested it to many friends for comparing antennas and the like. I was doing that today and took a screenshot to better show the person what it should look like. I saw that the four 10 dB steps in the IBP station W6WX added up to only 20 DB. I checked other IBP stations, and they were closer to 5 dB instead of 10. that was concerning, so I checked another of my KIWI's and got the same. Comments?

    I just checked mine and the S-Meter shows the correct step sizes.

    It's possible the IBP steps are not exactly 10dB, or some other factor is coming into play, but if you have a V2, you can test it by tuning to a strong signal and increasing the input attenuation.
