No connection with KMTronic please help

edited October 29 in Problems Now Fixed

Hi,

I put a KMTronic 8 channels UDP switch on my LAN.

The switch is well recognized by the LAN and my PC is able to switch the relays.

The KiwiSDR sees the Relay box but refuses to toggle the relays.

The stat box says that all the antennas are grounded and the buttons to switch (the ones into the RF tab of the web side user) are not efficients.

The console seems to tell me that some files are missing.

I attached two snapshots to make my explanation a bit more clear.

I am running KiwiSDR 2 v1.702

Thanks for helping me.

  • a bit more information :

  • Even that the switch ip is the default one I created the configuration file in the /etc/default folder

    Still the same problem

When I clic on the Thunderstorm mode button "yes" and after "no", the log reports the same command (as far as I understand well the log)

  • I don't understand why nc (netcat) isn't found. That's guaranteed to be installed by a Kiwi update.

What happens when you type which nc ?

Try the command: pki netcat to install it manually.

    Hi,

which nc doest not return anything

    after manual install :

    And now it works 😋

That means that somewhere an update needs to be done with the automatic install of netcat.

    Many thanks for your help.

Now I am waiting some hardware delivery to be able to connect the SDR and the antennas to the switch

Oh wait -- I see now why /bin/nc is not getting installed by the Makefile. Fixed now for the next release. We hadn't noticed this previously since there are so few users of the KMtronic-UDP.

    Thanks for pointing this out!

    My pleasure 😊

Thanks to you for helping so quickly.

I noticed they are not a lot of Kiwi 2 in France and even less with the switching feature "on"

Next step, the connection of the antennas I am very curious to see the result of mixing up vertical EFW with horizontal EFW

  • I'm curious to see the results of mixing as well. I've only seen one Kiwi with antenna mixing, I'd like to try more... I'm considering this possibility for mine in the future.
