Interesting antenna concept

I was just made aware of this interesting antenna, that is being produced by Dave, GW4GTE, who may be on this forum.

It's not clear to me, what the overall frequency coverage and operational bandwidth of the antenna is, or it's suitability for use with a KiWi, but if Dave is lurking, perhaps he could provide some additional information.
