I routinely receive stuff on that band out to about 1000 km. WSPR however, which can be much weaker than CW.

I'll listen for him. Curious to see if that multi-turn loop actually gets a signal out.

I have done a lot of work with small mag loops such as shown in the attached photo. BW is an issue but his CW may make it through

I did not hear him. I used
http://38.86.67.206:8078/
in Indiana and heard K9KFR at 473.50 KHz rst 599 but not KB9RLW. Listening again tonight on the same KiwiSDR.
That loop antenna looks very interesting. First quality antenna.
