@ve6jy I come back to your earlier request: "I'd also like to have the ability to edit the 24 band buttons, to have them go to frequencies of my choosing and have the labels reflect that." I have been thinking how to integrate this, but I …

AGC has not been changed in the latest 5 versions. The AGC parameters used are: SET agc=1 hang=0 thresh=-100 slope=6 decay=1000 manGain=50 Perhaps @jks could advise to use other default AGC settings.

New version of QiwiQ released: 2.05.52 • Support for legacy servers (version <= 1.690) • Fix while switching servers • Fix offset bug on legacy servers • Bug fixes + ui-improvements Download at: https://bit.ly/3I49LfD Feedback/bugs welcome!

My new version seems ok (will release soon after some more testing).
-
Sorry my mistake, was testing with another server. Can you check the log for a frequency of 198kHz and check if you get a "API: decided connection is OKAY" (or something) at around 14:22 UTC?
-
Can you give me your server address again, to make sure we talk the same server?
-
studentkra I just found a free slot and the stream continues. Can you check the log for a frequency of 198kHz and check if you get a "API: decided connection is OKAY" (or something) at around 13:10 UTC?
-
@studentkra thank you. But I was testing with a new version that should present QiwiQ as a "real Kiwi app". Could you disable it again so I can test?
-
@NU6F can you send me your server address so I will have a (debugging) look at it. ps. I am currently testing a new version to support legacy servers (version <= 1.690). Could be the reason. Let me have a look. Update: if this is your server: htt…

@jks you are right to correct me. Excuse me, It was my mistake. I understand the purpose.
-
Update: I found the solution to be accepted as real Kiwi-app ... [jks: Edited to remove explanation of how to bypass some of the bot countermeasures. We don't know who's reading here do we?]
-
Ok sounds plausible, but how should QiwiQ present itself then as a Kiwi app (since basically that is the purpose of QiwiQ)?
-
@studentkra can you explain why I receive a message "MSG too_busy=0" after 5 or 10 seconds of SND data? How can I avoid this? Has it something to do with the client version or a message you expect and not receive?
-
https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/21593#Comment_21593 I understand what you mean, but the same field can also be used for a free Search field, so I cannot set both.
-
@jks is there any logic behind this: From certain servers I notice that QiwiQ receives a message on the SND socket after about 10 seconds or so: MSG too_busy=0 And the socket closes. However if I access the server using the Kiwi Web interface, I do …

@jks I noticed a strange behavior of SQUELCH (could be my ignorance). You can simulate it as follows (also in Kiwi web interface): select server f.i. http://g8ure.ddns.net:8073/?f=10Mamnz10 select a strong signal: f.i. BBC at 693 kHz. change the SQ…

I try to figure out the modulation of certain frequencies on this VHF/UHF server to try to support it in QiwiQ: http://hasenberg04.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/?f=10Mamnz10 If you tune f.i. to 120000 kHz you can hear a distorted music channel. There are m…

Thank you @jks for your useful information. I already got information from another contact that they (probably) are clones. So I don't have to bother debugging them further. About the VHF/UHF servers: you do not need to look in the code, I already f…

@jks and others: I noticed that QiwiQ cannot connect to certain servers, like: http://wessex.hopto.org:8075/?f=10Mamnz10 Strangely I can open the socket, but no data received. What could be the reason why they refuse to connect? Timing problem? Ano…

@ve6jy thank you for your feedback. I also like those old receivers like the Sony ICF2010 and others. It is already possible to enter your own kiwi server url: click on the server list and enter your url in the field and click Select. I will take no…

@LIN_in it is now possible in version QiwiQ-1.45.04 to enter your own Name/CallSign instead of the automatically assigned fingerprint (via settings).

@n6gn Thank you for your valuable feedback! First, a question: do you use a spectrum display on a radio in the same way as on a measuring device? I’m not a specialist in this matter, but I would say that a spectrum display on a radio is used primari…

@LIN_in that is an interesting suggestion to add the callsign. I had it early on my todolist, but somehow it got forgotten. Will implement it in the next version. You will be able to enter your callsign in the settings. if you leave it empty the exi…

Thank you for your feedback! The app by Marcus Roskosch indeed looks nice. It was my explicit intention to bring forward the buttons I use most frequently from the kiwi-submenus. This does indeed reduce the available screen space, but when I use my …
