actually all I really need to do is overcome my lost password... and do the procedure above
-
@jks I have all 4 kiwis phyically disconnected right so would be happy just to get the 2 bad actors fixed. I had a password issue with one so thus the offline. As you may recall, I have mine in one X4 structure
-
with both my AI 14ch hosed up, I'm going to take the opportunity to upgrade the Debian version. Is there an image that I can download that is known to work. I don't expect that image to contain kiwi code too but that would be a bonus!
-
same for me with 2 of my 4 AI based systems (edit: only my 14ch ones)
-
use the status command eg: http://192.168.1.76:8076/status
-
GPS access recently mentioned so this old post may be relevant

try deleting last visible character then re-enter it manually and hit <enter>

these pop up on eBay from time to time and aren't outrageous new https://www.minicircuits.com/WebStore/dashboard.html?model=ZSC-3-2%2B

You should consider using a simple T-attentuator rather than a parallel resister. The feedline VSWR and loop LNA would be happier.
-
thanks and Happy Holidays!
-
did you try them one at a time, with no paralleling?

while on the subject of S-meters..... back in the 50's S9=100uV EMF or 50uV 50 ohm system..... IIRC An S-unit was 6 dB Most radios had terrible S-meter calibration and basically were best for peak indication or relative comparisons. In this mille…

in the past when I experienced such, I'd remove the BB from the Kiwi and see if the BB could be coaxed to life on its own.. sometimes you'll need to use a Debian image to test it on it's own. I had a number of BBG left over from Kiwi's that I upgra…

Have you tried to DF it to see which neighbor may be radiating that?
-
Peter, Which model Meanwell was used for that plot?
-
I use Meanwell MDR-60-5 and believe them to be clean. CUI EMC-20 filters are also effective if the above is an issue Both are relatively inexpensive

Amazon has 5.5mm-F to USB-C male adapters X002BGA8XL

look at the MWBC on jimlill.com:8073 I have 3 notch filters on there on 1280, 950, 1370.... not much impact on the rest of the band. It will be full after sunset here in 4 hours
-
To the best of my knowlege -r never worked right in kiwirecorder. At best, it would do integer math. There may be more to this puzzle than kiwirecorder. Which kiwi system are you sourcing the wav file from? -Jim
-
a simple MW notch filter for one station will do little to impact the rest of the band.
-
kiwirecorder resampler does not work as it should due to an issue with the related python libarary AFAIK. I pipe through sox to get what I want.

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/782/W2252BH65BF8.png jimlill.com:8073 and jimlill.com:8075 are 2 of the 4 kiwisdr there. The other 2 are dedicated to wspr. I am currently suffering from some local noise that I haven't had time to chase.

both sox and soxi are useful tools for working on this kind of thing. Although sox started life as a Linux tool, there are MS and Mac versions of it. https://sourceforge.net/projects/sox/files/sox/14.4.2/

The addition of MMSSTV would be great but we have come to rely on John to do the majority of the heavy lifting on both Kiwi hardware and software. It would seem like extensions is an area where you smart programmers might be able to contribute. It i…

per Christoph as of today "The python libsamplerate module is broken"
-
I tried the -r earlier this year and founf that python didn't do it right. I ended up piping through sox . Has the Python thing been verified to be fixed?
-
are your neighbors ameniable to adding something to their radiating systems?
-
DIN barrels are available with "green" terminals too!
-
The DIN barrel connector is pretty popular across a number of devices. John, have you found issues? The only thing I have is that if you pick a PSU with USB, it's 5V a DIN barrel might be anything
