WSPR Extension using multiple instances on the same sound card/computer

I was curious to see if the KiwiSDR would monitor and correctly report multiple instances, such as more than one web browser tab, with a different WSPR band being monitored in each instance. According to my limited test, the answer is yes and all instances will report the spots correctly. So it would seem that a KiwiSDR could be setup to be a multi-band WSPR monitor/reporter. Is this actually the case, or might there be a problem doing this on a routine basis?

    Apparently it is not going to be a problem. I am running 4 instances in one web browser on one computer, and the mute button is enabled on all screens to shut out the noise. Here is the current listings from listening to 4 different WSPR frequencies. I think this is very nice.

    Inspired by KA7U's post I decided to test this myself. Yes, it works, and wow how neat not to have to wait for an ID! First time I try this out.

    Hi Ron. Yes, there shouldn't be any problem in doing this. There is an open request that an "idle mode" be added somewhere so the WSPR extension starts running when connection slots are idle. You'd define what band(s) you'd like to use etc. This should probably be an admin configuration that can apply to any extension (that makes sense) and not just WSPR. Hopefully there will be more monitoring-style decoder extensions developed in the future that could work this way.

    The "idle mode" or "monitor mode" when connection slots are idle, would be a great feature. Users could then interrupt a monitoring WSPR session and the WSPR session would resume when the user disconnects. That would be effecient.
