My brand new KIWISDR2 is not receiving any RF signal.
My brand new KiwiSDR2 is not receiving any RF signal, on any frequency!!!
Hello everyone, today I started up my brand new KiwiSDR2 bought just a few days ago at DX Engineering, it worked perfectly for a few hours, enough time to be able to configure it and enjoy it a little, but out of nowhere when I switched different antennas to see the performance it stopped receiving, the waterfall was totally flat without any type of signal. It did not receive any type of discharges or nearby RF emissions, as a first measure I did a factory reset successfully and everything is still the same, then I did the recommended test with a small cable and the signal generator and I have some intermittences, meaning the pattern that it should have is not stable, it is weak and appears for a few seconds and disappears. Could someone give me some advice? I live in Argentina and it was very expensive to buy it and bring it here, I am very disappointed with this brand new and very expensive material, thank you very much for your help !!!

Exactly what antennas did you use? Was the second antenna located outdoors?
I figured out the serial number. But I don't think it's powered up or online. Could you please put it online and connect the self-test cable between the EXT CLK and RF IN connectors.
Thanks
Good morning dear Jks, thank you very much for your response, as I have not yet received the G5RV antenna that I plan to install dedicated to my to KIWISDR, I have been using my outdoor amateur antennas to do some tests, a delta loop for 6 meters and a multiband dipole for 40 and 80 meters, the greatest intensity was in the multiband dipole, about 16 to 18 dB with the delta loop about 8 to 10 dB, at the time of the failure I was tuned in MW, 700 Khz in stations close to my house about 70 kilometers both.
The receiver is now online and will remain that way so you can perform any tests you like. the self-test cable between the EXT CLK and RF IN connectors is connected, the Admin Pass is the same as the S/N.
Saludos desde Argentina!

It is not configured properly and I cannot connect.
Connect using a local address (not proxy address). Go to the admin page, "connect" tab. Where it says "Based on the above selection the URL to connect to your Kiwi is:" it should then say "2xxxx.proxy.kiwisdr.com"
If it says something else then do the following:
Click the "click to (re)register" button.
Change the large menu to "public IP".
Change the large menu to "reverse proxy".
Click the "restart" button that will appear at the top of the page.
Hi, jks I did as instructed, I hope you can connect now.
Esteban.

Hello, to close this thread, I want to say that after connecting and explaining the problem to technical support, leaving my unit online so they could verify the problem and take some measurements, Kiwi support quickly decided to replace the affected device under warranty. After traveling halfway around the world, I received it a couple of days ago and am now back online. Personally, I am very satisfied with the prompt response and solution. Now I'm waiting for the protector I bought so I can be 100% calm and secure and be able to connect better antennas.
