Geting MS-S5 antenna switch and the extension to work [fixed]

All,

Greetings! I received today the MS-S5 antenna switch I purchased from LZ2RR on Ebay. I was able to successfully get it connected to my local WiFi network and have the IP address from the front display on the switch.

I have configured the Ant Switch extension on the Extensions tab by plugging in my switch's IP addy (I have tried both with and without the lead http://) and I chose the MS-S5A Web from the device pull down.

But it doesn't seem like the switch is "talking" to my Kiwi UI. It is not showing the currently connected antenna and the switch buttons in the UI do not change the antenna input. I am able to manually change antennas with the buttons on the switch itself, just not through the extension in the Kiwi UI.

To troubleshoot, I dumped the WiFi connectivity stored on the switch and reinitiated the connection process as outlined in the instructions that came with the switch. It took it a moment but was able to connect and I received back the same IP address I had originally.

Both my Kiwi and the PC I am using to run through the UI are hardwired/ethernet into my router. The switch is on the 2GHz connection through that same router (no hot spots or access points are being used).

I am sure there is a step I am missing somewhere to get this working. Anyone with any advice? I am running a Kiwi2 (http://21730.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/)

Thank you in advance for any that have some advice on getting these two to talk together. I am sooo close to getting it working!

  • Hi Loyd. Please set a temporary admin password and email it to support@kiwisdr.com and I can take a look.

  • So, woke up this morning, went into the shack and noticed that the IP addy on the display of the switch had changed (confirmed by comparing to the photo I had taken of the display last night). Plugged that in to the extension and VOILA! She works.

So this one is resolved, thank you for your offer to assist!
