The name Kiwi
Greetings, all! I am located in New England in the USA, and am new to using a Kiwi SDR, but am enjoying it for pulling in shortwave broadcasters. No way can I install a longwire in my condo complex! (I am sure many of you know how THAT goes... ;-) )
These SDRs are very interesting! I am trying out various Kiwi SDR receiver sites in the Northeast US.
OK, I assume this has been asked before, but I cannot find information on this anywhere: Why is it called KIWI? Is this a New Zealand thing, or something else?
