apt-get update error

Next line in /etc/apt/sources.list gives an error (warning?):
deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/ jessie-updates main contrib non-free
Commenting by # is a solution, but is it alright?

    No, don't comment anything out in sources.list

    I get errors all the time when doing an "apt update". Sometimes they go away if you just rerun the update (especially ones where it complains about the file lengths not matching). The errors don't seem to cause any difficulty. They're probably because we're still running on an old Debian distro.

    This isn't causing you a Kiwi build problem is it?
