Everything updated just fine here without problems. I'll have to remind myself to write a new backup SD card with one of these v1.8xx versions so we don't have any potential problems updating in the event I need to restore the Kiwi.

With no antenna connected to the Kiwi, what does the waterfall look like? Do you hear that noise on other radios? Do you have a portable AM radio you could use to walk around with a search for sources of noise?

I just had a ~30 second power outage several minutes ago. After the Kiwi restarted (it never displayed an update screen), it's now showing it's on v1.703. I never forced a build. Showing "Git clone damaged!" when "Check now" is c…

Still running v1.702, clicked "check now" and it showed "Git clone damaged!". I closed the Admin interface, reopened it a little while later and clicked "Check now" again and now it displays "Available version v1.7…

Whatever number of channels you have set to be reserved will remain unused until you on your local network accesses them, or someone accesses one via a password. I gathered this from the text on the Admin interface and from some past tests. You'll h…

Unless your user used the URL my_kiwi:8073/?pwd=password to request a password protected channel, the Kiwi will load first on an open non-password protected channel. Perhaps a channel opened up just as he entered the password incorrectly. There are…

Emphasize the continued top tier support you've offered for the Kiwi for the past 8-something years. One of the risks in buying these "clone" units is you never know how long updates and support will be made available, and to what extent s…

If you want to extend the LEDs from the Ethernet jack to the front panel of your box, what if you use fiber optic elements?

I've chatted with the owner of another Kiwi through his Kiwi before using the name callsign box. I know there are a few guys who have configured chat boxes on their Kiwis. I believe most of them use this: https://www.chatango.com/ Pretty straightfo…

It's fun to catch Radio Havana Cuba transmitting on the frequencies normally used with their numbers stations. Likely due to error since it originates from the same transmitter site.

Check your filter settings under the Audio tab, make sure they're not triggered on when you don't intend them to be. Also check the squelch, AGC, volume slider, etc. Every once in a great while, I'll come across a Kiwi that is muted (no audio, but p…

OpenWebRX+ has a long ways to go before it's as user friendly and as feature packed as the Kiwi's heavily modified version of OpenWebRX. OpenWebRX+ is a good option for those who want to set up a remote SDR that can be set to cover frequencies beyon…

You cannot get the Kiwi to show up on the public Kiwi map and list? You need to be updated to a rather recent version, at least 1.690 (if I recall correctly), in order for it to be listed on those sources. That was due to an abuse attack of public K…

They're distorted badly here (EN35ka) too.

Non-autorun WSPR is still reporting (uploading spots) fine here. I have it going on 20m at this moment. Back when it didn't report (would still decode), it wouldn't report at all. It wasn't intermittent, it just simply didn't report a single decode…

I'd like to see the ability to tune via mouse wheel. Perhaps allow it to be toggled from the right-click menu, so those who are used to it being used for zooming can use it as such. There are many guys who are used to using a mouse wheel with other …

If nobody comes forward, let me know. I could attempt to "break" the WSPR extension again by reflashing the Kiwi with my most recent backup of v1.682.
-
The non-autorun extension is still reporting on mine. Autorun also still reports. However, it still doesn't appear to be working on Bikedork (Minneapolis, MN, also running v1.688). The only thing I did to mine was to update it from v1.686 to v1.688,…

I was just going to set an Admin password and send you a link, but decided to force an update to v1.688 first. Guess what? Now the WSPR extension is reporting to wsprnet.org! I'll play around with it and see if it gives any trouble. I let the non-au…

The non-autorun extension still doesn't report here. Decodes, but doesn't report. Autorun works fine. Currently running v1.686. I recall you changed something between having the extension report on the server side vs the client side as mentioned her…

@Yogicat Have a look here: https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/2444/christmas-kiwi/p1. The logo doesn't get replaced, just overlaid with another image. In my case as shown above, with a pair of Sony headphones. In the past, I've also s…

I don't mind the current Kiwi logo. It has brand recognition now. I did stick a pair of Sony studio cans on the Kiwi on mine...just because, why not... https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/297/EA0SIWPTLF5T.jpg

Bikedork (located in Minneapolis, MN, running v1.680 in 4 channel mode) also isn't reporting to the WSPR database using the extension.
-
Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on. As you may remember, the extension did work here: https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/3196/plenty-of-wspr-decodes-no-uploads-upload-spots-is-selected#latest It's not too important. I don't monitor W…

As a test, I've been running the autorun on 20m and the extension on 30m at the same time for the past hour or so. Only the autorun on 20m is uploading spots to wsprnet.org.

Sure enough, I just switched my Kiwi to 4 channel "classic" mode and the signal levels are back to normal. So, it appears to only affect 3 channel mode.
-
Thanks for those tests G4DYA. That's exactly what I'm seeing here. I may have failed to mention it before (although it does show it in the stats tab), but I am running 3 channel mode (have been since I set it up several years ago). It actually cross…

@jks I could make a .dmg disk image of my v1.601 flasher and upload it to a Google Drive and send it to you if you want to look at it closer there and experiment. Assuming a .dmg image would preserve the proper structure of the flasher.
-
I let it build from v1.601 to v1.677 earlier instead of reflashing it to v1.676 from the SD card. The noise floor with the antenna removed appears to be the same between v1.601 and v1.677. v1.601 (I forgot to flip to the stats tab, but you can tell…

Thanks for the AMW mode. I have it set to open up full to ±10.125kHz. It also sounds like a 10kHz notch or LPF was implemented as I don't hear the 10kHz hets anymore when opened all the way up to ±10.125kHz.
