Thanks for your assessment Martin....I'll wait to hear from John as to what the repair options might be. Bob

Good Morning Martin, The RF attenuator does make a difference. When set to -30, the local AM signal that is just above the noise at S7 drops to S6 and is no longer audible. -30 seems to reduce the carrier by closer to -10db. The noise floor is aroun…

Hi Martin, The Beagle Green arrived and making the copy from the other Kiwi was easy. The Kiwi 2 shows sig gen shows -100 on the meter as it should. Nice low noise. Switching back gives 30db more noise floor. The antenna that produces -30 on a work…

Unknown but a V1 Kiwi is running fine on a V2 Beagle board now. Have a couple of Green Beagles on the way...should arrive toward end of week.

Hi Martin, I got it to register on my.kiwisdr.com for a minute or two but no more. I tried to reflash it but under no circumstances could I get any of the 4 LED's or the ones near them to flash. I was not looking at the LED's when it briefly worked.…

Hi Martin, I appreciate the reply as always and apologize for muddying the waters with too much information. The biggest issue is the new KIWI2 stopped receiving signals and was showing about an S5 noise floor. It and another Kiwi1 were fed from th…

That's wild.....after I got the new BeagleBone working at a normal noise floor, I took the 'noisy' one and put it back together. Even with no antenna connected, it was showing S9 noise and radiating that noise out of the antenna port. It was repeata…

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/3058/fan-with-kiwi-installation-on-bbai-64 Side note: Anyone have a link to the mentioned fan ? I need another one and have no idea how to search Amazon for it.
-
It is...will it run without the fan ?
-
Beaglebone black : No place to plug in the fan and the hole marked USB Host has a connector that won't fit through the opening. Does this one require a fan ? https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/193/AFS797EQ8GHF.jpg

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/18240#Comment_18240 Thanks John...it will be here in a couple days. The Kiwi2 and the one with the new Beagle Bone are working great.

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/18238#Comment_18238 This is #2403...had it for years. I ordered another Beagle Bone Green without wireless today. If you have a minute and can link me to the good image and how to set up a fr…

Back to this problem....I entered the IP in Specified ID and the Incomplete Information didn't go away. No need for the proxy based on my other Kiwi 1. https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/905/SJ39F9CIO577.png

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/18096#Comment_18096 Your patience with me was beyond the call of duty....and appreciated. The S9+20 noise floor was caused by the old BeagleBone. Meter is now around S1 with no antenna. Thank…

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/18092#Comment_18092 Even though it did the double flash, it eventually powered off and my.kiwi.sdr found it !

I was using what was in the zipped folder. I just tried unzipping it and used this with DiscImager and the lights now flash but within 30 seconds go into the double flash mode. Again, I know so little about these matters but want to keep trying. h…

https://forum.kiwisdr.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/18072#Comment_18072 I got it downloaded but even with a new card, the LED's don't start flashing in the first 15 seconds.
-
New download, new Micro SD Card, held boot button down and the powered up. Continued to hold button for 15 seconds and none of the LED's flashed.
-
The 4 LED's never lit. I am downloading a fresh copy to be used on a fresh card but unfortunately, it is taking well over an hour to download again. https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/735/9YEJWG6YBX0Y.png My ISP is good : https://forum.kiwisdr.com/…

OK on the wrong button...corrected. How long is a few moments ? I held it for 3 minutes and the LED's never lit. Exactly how long do I have to hold it ?
-
I got the image onto a new SD card using using Win32DiskManager. There are 2 buttons. I am holding down the one closer to the center of the board while powering up. I believe the other one is called Reset. I have tried releasing it as soon as I saw …
-
That was easy test but it never did power down. After a couple minutes, the left led started blinking twice and that seemed to go on indefinitely.
-
Tried the 32 and another new 8 and got this each time. To be sure I get this, the new Micro SD card is to be installed in the Kiwi that I am using to create this image.... How do I do it from a PC and create the image that way ? Maybe there is somet…

It said it was downloading at about 128K even though I have a 100mb connection. In any case, I tried it again on a new 8GB card and I believe it said no space available ? root@kiwisdr:~# root@kiwisdr:~# bash kiwiSDR-download-KiwiSDR-BBG_BBB-crea…

I got through it and did not have the SD card in all the way. It exited Console. Do I need to repeat the 2 hour download again ?
-
I am not in my comfort zone doing this but am looking forward to learning. Here is where I am using the 'noisy' beagle that can still connect. https://forum.kiwisdr.com/uploads/007/JPB38M0THF44.png

Yes...paired with a new BeagleBone. The noisy Beaglebone (S9+20 noise with no antenna) is discovered.
-
It went left to right for 6 minutes and within 10 seconds it went dark. My.kiwi.sdr doesn't show it.

Standing by....thanks John.
