Thanks for the information Ben. Each time I looked yesterday it seemed to be a continuous scan, cycling through the list over and over. I just looked again and see it has been going for a bit over an hour this morning and still seems to be continu…

Unfortunately the supply is internal. I will attempt to verify that it is the new modem/router but feel certain that it is due to the coincidence of timing. I have other switching noise at the 62 KHz spacing that are not as strong and start out up…

I used the dyndns so I would catch it if the dyndns did not update a change when I use one to select a band. No big deal though. If I start noticing there are never any connections, that will let me know and I can fix it. I do not trust the autom…

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. It was how I normally connected. So at least it is not an actual problem and it is good to have an explanation for the change. For the fun of it I will look for a user setting since I have a number of bookmarks I…

Oops, I do not see a way to edit my post to clean up the extra "stuff" from where I pasted in the output from the port test, sorry!

Wow, this was my one thing that I wished for, I agree with SV1BTL, it is the icing on the cake. Never had any stutter here either. Thanks.

J-Luc, I connected to this Kiwi: http://f1jeksdr1.ddns.net/ using Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit) with no problem. Chuck, W5UXH

Interesting, I had noticed the same entry, apparently only 3 seconds before yours, perhaps a robot of some kind? Mon May 22 15:25:30 2017 8d:16:57:57 .1.3 unknown URL: invoker/JMXInvokerServlet (kiwi/invoker/JMXInvokerServlet.html) query=<(n…

JKS asked:"Had it failed for you on another (or your own) Kiwi previously during the v1.81 release?" NO, sorry, I thought it was a general request.
-
JKS: I connected to your beta and see much the same 60 KHz spaced lines in the upper HF range similar to mine. Today I tried to shut down as much as I could in the shack with no effect (Ethernet hubs, UPS units, USB hubs, External drives etc.), s…

I connected to the SDR and the ADMIN and all worked. I run Chrome on El Capitan.

Do you mean put the Kiwi in the cage? Does this have an effect when the junk appears to be coming in from the antenna? I really need to shut down my my main UPS which is new to at least see if that is the source. The Kiwi is powered on a different…

That is what I wondered about (a switcher) but had no idea what to expect, so it sounds like that is the culprit. When I move the same antenna to the K3 and tune to the same frequency, I do not hear anything. I will experiment with that some more.…

Thanks Ron, I had very recently moved the Kiwi to the other side of the shack, but have the same antenna cabling and power source etc. I'll play around a bit tomorrow and see if messing with the antenna etc. Chuck

When I occasionally connect to other Kiwis, I usually forget to enter my call in the name/callsign field. Is there a way to have it "sticky" for all connections so any connection I make will automatically have the field initialized to my …

I do not envy you that difficult task!

OK, my fault. Indeed I had run "kd". I do not recall now in all the confusion of recovering from the UPS failure, but at some point I thought I needed to use ssh. I looked in my notes from when I first got the Kiwi and found the kd comm…

Hmm, the "down by lock file" in the actual log page must have something hidden so the "file " followed by a blank line was not seen. It just shows up with the copy and paste for this query.

Well, v1.77 did the trick, my local time is now correct. Thanks.

John commented: "You've entered your lat/lon on the sdr.hu page in a slightly strange format. sdr.hu shows the correct location for it. But Google does not (click on the "check map" link above the field -- Google shows it as being so…

I am glad to have the alternating between time and logo confirmed :) My local time still shows one hour later than UTC even though my lat/lon on the admin page checks correctly as New Mexico when I click to test on the map.

Hmm, rather strange. I still did not have it, only the "Powered by OpenWebRX". I connected to your Kiwi and saw the OpenWebRX logo at first but then it switched to time. I did another browser refresh and finally started seeing the time …

I have not been able to find where this new local time field is displayed. I updated to v1.75 today thinking I would find it, must be right under my nose somewhere?
-
I checked here and indeed there is a steady carrier on 1 MHz in my Kiwi.

Thanks for the additional information, very interesting. Chuck, W5UXH

Thanks Ron, yes it sounds much like the 14 or more tone formats heard at the link you provided. I know the name "Pactor" but that is all, being 100% CW. Interesting that someone is parking in the "CW" portion with such a wide s…

Yep, I do that occasionally, nice feature but the 500 Hz is ok most of the time. The return to default passband feature is also very nice. The narrow CW filter sure works nicely and when zoomed in it is very easy to get right on the peak with on…

I am not sure what "most" ops prefer, but agree that many like 700 Hz and even higher. But I think many, myself included, prefer lower tones. I use 620 Hz, but would take the 500 Hz rather than 700 Hz any day :) I know a few who prefer…

OK, Martin, thanks for that information. I will do that. Unfortunately my antenna is not very good, yours is much better!

Curious: I have been playing with the WSPR extension, very interesting. With me being a 100% CW op for 56 years and ignorant of all digital modes, I wonder if it is reasonable for me to just leave WSPR running for a long time, with all the multipl…
