I looked on their site and asked availability, they had 4 units as of 3rd Jan 2023. I think it was about USD $1000 per card ??

Thanks John, I tried connman before my original post and came up with a IP4 problem, when using connman, the card ended up with both a static and a DHCP IP4 address, and there was no way to kill of the DHCP address... so I un-installed connman.

Host name set in /etc/hostname DNS's are set in /etc/resolv.conf

Things I found with the KiwiSDR upgrade from BB Green to BB AI-64 Setting a fixed IP address for the ethernet port via admin/Network - fails, always stays DHCP, turns out that IP configuration is strictly managed by the files in /etc/systemd/network…

trying it all here now....

The SSTV Extension seems to be working as normal, maybe you have come up against many of the newer SSTV modes that the extension cannot decode.. like the modes MP, MR, ML which were created by Makoto Mori, JE3HHT, the author of MMSSTV software. Some…

Very interesting discussion, I get this :- Sun Mar 27 00:24:45 09:35:25.157 .... [00] ADMIN connection closed Sun Mar 27 00:26:43 09:37:22.894 0... 0 PWD kiwi W/F ALLOWED: no config pwd set, allow any (158.247.235.18) Sun Mar 27 00:26:44 09:…

Thanks John, the ADMIN page on all of my Kiwi's are now working fine ! Kind Regards Paul
-
Thanks John, yes I noticed same increasing gain slope here on zoom=0. Looking forward to the fix. Kind Regards Paul

I have come across this problem before, there is a conditional parsing error of region in the config.js file ... for some reason the band edge declarations always defaults to the last one, that is ">23" is always selected... bands.push(…

Yep, a GPIO with PWM drive to RC storage to PIN bias.... something like that ;-)
-
Yep, I put filters ahead of the splitter... Q.E.D.
-
Use a WYE splitter, do a google on https://www.changpuak.ch/electronics/resistive_power_split.php With Zo = 50 Ohms, this simple formulae to calculate the resistors required - > R=Zo x (N-1)/(N+1), where N is the number of ports required... Sur…

That's a good idea, maybe a GPIO Pin can drive a PIN Diode Attenuator on OV trigger or in the overnight strong signal environment a GPIO pin could be set by Time to kick in -10dB across everything ??
-
Success here too, both SDR's ( 2/4 ) that failed upgrade were running 8CH and had WSPR autoruns.. all happy now thanks ! PK.

These wide filters are no good for AM DX, so I still stick with my individual notches as per my calculator... Amplifiers are notorious for 2nd / 3rd order IMD ( Distortions ), so I don't run any. Splitting devices with transformers are a No-No, th…

I also think that individual notches ahead of any splitting regime is the way to go. As a keen MW DX'er, I want to preserve the MW sensitivity, but knock out some big hitters in my neighbourhood... I use simple single series L+C tuned circuits on ea…

Both charts were taken from same time from same programme source Cheers PK V1.222 FIR (Image) v1.223 CIC

Thank you John, I will do some testing and advise. Cheers PK

Thanks John, I will test later today Cheers PK ;-)

I have done some audio frequency response measurements. The response rolls off quite dramatically, with a slope of ~20dB down across the passband, see attached graph. can something be done to improve the EQ ?
-
The AM audio now sounds completely bandwidth restricted with no top-end at all

Thanks John, the Help key is a great idea ! Now that I have 2 SDRs, how do I copy the dx.json file from the old one to the new SDR, so that my entries are updated? Is is possible to do a symbolic link between the 2 beaglebones? CheersPaul
