Cant go wrong with old school linear power supplies, im now crying I thrown in the dumpster old computer bits with 5 amp 5 volt power supplies a few years ago thinking why do I need that junk.

What I ended up doing: mains RFI filter 250VA 15 volt 7.5 tap transformer 40kuF filtering 2 of 2N355 & LM317 regulator circuit good for 5 volts & 10 amps easy , weighs couple of Kgs with metal case heatsink and heavy transformer, my next project is to put the Kiwi SDR into its own sub case with 12v 50mm blower fan powered from the unregulated 10-12 volts DC
